The primary focus of our program is to prepare individuals to teach career and technical education-related subject areas in middle schools, comprehensive high schools, and technical centers.
Graduate Assistantships/ Associateships None offered at this point.
Our graduates are in high demand due to the large number of teachers retiring. In addition, very few universities have career and technical education programs.

All faculty are former secondary-level career and technical education instructors. Faculty research interests include program evaluation, CTE professional development, CTE teacher education competencies, CTE federal policy, college and career selection, and global education.
Western Michigan University One of the top-100 public universities in the United States, Western Michigan University offers many nationally known graduate programs, including 29 doctoral and 64 master’s degrees. More than 20 percent of its 25,000 students are enrolled in graduate course work.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in FCS, business, marketing, engineering, electronics, construction, automotive technology, nursing, or an industrial technology/trades area.
