HOLIDAY FUNDRAISERS

The Eliminate Tree This Christmas season you can come up with many different fundraisers and using your season resources. One fundraiser you can partake in is decorating a Christmas tree! For $2 students can add ornaments to the tree. What you’ll need to create these ornaments is pre-cut and hole punched pieces of paper and markers for students to decorate. An optional idea would to, at different money marks, add different decorations to the tree such as lights, garland, and, save the best for last, the star! Santagrams Everyone enjoys getting a little something during this time of year, and you can do just that with candy canes. Set up a table during lunch and sell candy canes where students can personalize a note card that is fastened to every candy cane. The student can make them for a friend and could either give it to their friend personally, or Key Clubbers can hand out the candy canes during homeroom. Another idea you can use for the canes is decorate them like reindeer! For this project, have kids create these reindeer during a meeting, watch a good movie, and drink hot cocoa. To decorate these reindeer, you use brown pipe cleaner for the horns, googly eyes for the eyes, and a red pom pom for the nose. Didn't know if you wanted to add this photo. Kind of helps (: Awareness Ribbons Sell blue ribbons that are fastened together by a safety pin for kids to put on their shirts, bags, binder and let everyone know they represent this Christmas; that you want to give the gift of life to a mother and her future children. This is a very simple, quick fundraiser that will spread a lot of awareness quickly. Students will ask one another “Why are you wearing that ribbon?” and soon everyone will know about Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus. 6
