Culinary Arts Institute Professor: Ann Pitt Spring2017
The proposal for the culinary institute situated in the heart of the historic south end neighborhood of Boston, was to revitalize the intersection of Dartmouth and Montgomery streets by creating a place that invites current residents of the community to visually experience and cohesively engage in the culinary programs the institute has to offer. The project design addresses the lack of social attraction to this block of the south end. In strive to create a more human-scaled urban fabric, a path slicing through the site articulates the overall form of the building while also establishing a pedestrian engaging path which residents and guests of the surrounding community can occupy. The path also creates a distinguished connection between Montgomery and Dartmouth street. This path becomes the guiding principle to the unique form and design of the Institute.

The Green Connection - Urban Planning Professor: Margarita Iglesia Fall 2017
This design team project focused on the urban analysis, and master plan for a portion of the Massachusetts turnpike air rights in Boston. The project started with site documentation and analysis followed by a design negotiation. The final portion of the project focuses on individual design from each student selecting a parcel to later design. The proposal for parcel 17 addresses an issue of discontinuity between the neighborhoods bordering the Mass pike. The design is articulated to connect these neighborhoods through the visual appeal of the building. The ground floors of this mixed-use tower respond to the existing street conditions. The above floors repsond to the surrounding context while also creating a connection betwene parcel 16 and parcel 18. These two deisgn methods welcome pedestrians to the parcel and initiates activity

Parcel 17 Mixed Use Program Commercial Office - Market Rate Residential The unique footprint for the mixed use tower is situated between two high density neighborhoods of Boston. The Back bay and South-end neighborthoods carry much of the city’s history. Furthermore, it was my utmost goal to achieve a collectivistic nature by creating a gateway between both community’s. The ground floor’s orientation embraces the grids of columbus avenue and berkley street distingusihing this persuasive onnection to the community.

Wentworth Residential Building Professor: Herman Zinter Fall 2016
The intersection of Ruggles street and Huntington avenue is a significant area of Wentworth Insitute of Technologys campus that currently lacks the potential of being a succesful urban space. For many, this intersection is thae first experience they have when entering the campus. This project challeged us to design a new residence hall that would engage this corner of the campus. My project addresses this corner abruptly with an enticing artery that cuts through the proposal for the new stony brook park. By doing so, this artery presents a new entrance that connects to center campus. The mission behind the design was to enhance student life by the use of the surrounding envirionment. To achieve this, I incorperated accessible green roofs and retreat spaces in which students are able to realse stress aamong other adverse conditions. 18

Precedent Study - Unite dâ€™Habitation Professor: J.P Allen - Jen Lee Michaliszyn Fall 2016
The Unite dâ€™Habitation is a residential building designed by world renowed architect Le Corbusier following World War II. The residential building was constructed from rough cast concrete as the hope for steel frame construction became too expensive as a result of post war shortages. The buildings architecture distinguishes a clear representation of Corbusiers five main ponts. Pilotis - series of reinforced concrete columns bearing sturctural loads, free design of ground plan - building becomes urested in internal use, free design facade - seperating the exterior of the building from its structural system, the horizontal window, and the roof garden - providing space for communal use.
