The Mark of Athena Online Download by Rick Riordan Click Here to Download the Book Annabeth is terrified. Just when she's about to be reunited with Percy—after six months of being apart, thanks to Hera—it looks like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. As Annabeth and her friends Jason, Piper, and Leo fly in on the Argo II, she can’t blame the Roman demigods for thinking the ship is a Greek weapon. With its steaming bronze dragon masthead, Leo's fantastical creation doesn't appear friendly. Annabeth hopes that the sight of their praetor Jason on deck will reassure the Romans that the visitors from Camp Half-Blood are coming in peace. And that's only one of her worries. In her pocket Annabeth carries a gift from her mother that came with an unnerving demand: Follow the Mark of Athena. Avenge me. Annabeth already feels weighed down by the prophecy that will send seven demigods on a quest to find—and close—the Doors of Death. What more does Athena want from her? Annabeth's biggest fear, though, is that Percy might have changed. What if he's now attached to Roman ways? Does he still need his old friends? As the daughter of the goddess of war and wisdom, Annabeth knows she was born to be a leader, but never again does she want to be without Seaweed Brain by her side. Narrated by four different demigods, The Mark of Athena is an unforgettable journey across land and sea to Rome, where important discoveries, surprising sacrifices, and unspeakable horrors await. Climb aboard the Argo II, if you dare...
Reviews This book is my favorite book by Rick Riordan so far and I read the whole Percy Jackson series in a week. This book was a very entertaining book I couldn't put it down until I finished the book, but I don't suggest going into the book blindly without reading the other two first. Also I would not suggest the book to people who don't like fantasy books. If you are at this book you probably don't need the background information, but the basic background at this point is seven Demigods have to go to Rome and somehow stop the destruction of Rome and further stop Gaea Mother of the Earth. The figurative language is very prevalent throughout this book since it is a fiction book and he uses many Allusions, Imagery, Similes, and Metaphors. His diction is a little informal because he is writing for teens and young adults. The syntax added to each scene tremendously and help each scene slow down or speed up. Rick Roardon has many other fantastic books so it is not truly a surprise this book was so fascinating.
This book is amazing, my personal favourite by Rick. This book made me laugh, made me happy, made me very very sad (due to the ending) and just feel very emotion possible. this is what I believe a good book to be like, better than a good book a magnificent book! The way it rotates between characters point of views instead of limiting you to the one person is amazing as you get to know the characters way better. The way it is written is absolutely fabulous the description of everything is so good just made me read for hours on end until I felt dizzy and finally finished the book. Th action and smarts in this book are unbelievable and hard to believe it only took him a year to write this as it would have taken me a thousand. I got to Annabeth, Percy and the others so much better than I thought I would. I loved the reuniting of the ending but then when I found out what happened I went numb, my body couldn't recognise it all i could think was WHY? And HOW? My favourite couple POOF gone I felt so annoyed but it showed how bold he could be that even the best of people can have the worst of luck that as stated in the Kane chronicles how life isn't fair we get what we need and have to make it work this message is a message through out his books. I connected with Annabeth and Percy so well I had no idea he could even bare to do it I suppose when writing we all must not get connected to our beloved favourites. Going with Annabeth is probably the Bravest and Boldest thing a demigod has ever done. As Nico said Percy and Annabeth can do this. I loved this book and hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did. I really hope this book will be remembered ,long after we all die, as the book that changed people's lives.
Riordan has done it again with another of his great books. When I first heard of the new series of books coming out, I was truly excited. I had read the Percy Jackson Series a number of years back, and was ready for a new batch of books. Riordan has a way with luring you in, keeping you highly interested the great majority of the time. He keeps the action there for us, and brings mythology in, with a quirky twist. You could be in the middle of a fight scene, and have a small humorous moment, like in this quote, "Coach Hedge came pounding up the stairs with Hazel at his hooves. 'Where are they?' he demanded. 'Who do I kill?' 'No killing!' Annabeth ordered. 'Just defend the ship!' 'But they interrupted a Chuck Norris movie!' Piper emerged from below. 'Got a message through to Jason. Kind of fuzzy, but he's already on his way. He should be--oh! There~' Soaring over the city, heading in their direction, was a giant bald eagle, unlike the golden Roman birds." The Mark of Athena is a great book among others in the series, and would highly recommend this to another looking for a good book to read. Though the book seems to be aimed towards teenagers, it doesn't mean someone other may not read.
When I was in the Seventh grade, my class was forced to read the novel Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. To make a long story short, it was one of the best series that I was introduced to. Four years and 8 books later, the latest book in the Last Olympians/ Heroes of Olympus series is The Mark of Athena. I've loved all of Rick Riordan's books, so I expected nothing less from his latest one. Let me tell you, Mr. Riordan exceeded my expectations with this novel!
