Reviews Well I am reviewing after trying. After years of trying different things to lose fat (I have been as high as 245lbs and I am 5-11" and currently 46 years young) and I can say switching to the Slow Carb diet has really helped me to drop the weight to the point that people are just amazed and complimenting me all the time on my body transformation. I currently plateud at 21% bf and started doing the KB Swings twice a week and some supplimental exercises. In just a week I have lost 4" more in overall body mass by implementing the KB Swings. I haven't even touched the STACK Formula suggested, but I do cold packs on my shoulder and neck about 3-5x a week. Plus protein powder just as soon as I wake up. My blood pressure is normal now (never was before). So to all those who are reading negative reviews... just note if the reviewer said they tried the program and for how long. I am looking forward to doing more of the book for the other body hacks, but for right now, weight loss is my goal. Wish to get to 17% bf or below... I no longer look at my weight but my fat percentage. I also don't think of myself as fat anymore. The one thing that Tim didn't put in his book that I found very helpful was using some program on my Smart Phone to record my basic meals so I could follow my calorie count. That really helped to speed along progress. Any of the other exercises I have done.. in case you were wondering was Spin Classes, Walking an hour at a time or treadmill running for 30 min and finishing with a 4 min sprint, Carry a 60 lb sandbag around the block once in awhile, weight lifting, hitting a tire with a sledge hammer. I do these on and off as I feel like it.. Not more than one of those exercises in a day.
The first thing I do when I look at a book on Amazon is to read the reviews. I start with the best long reviews, and then read all of the one and two star reviews. I almost didn't buy this book because of all the negative reviews that mentioned the suspicious nature of the five stare reviews.
The book turned out to be my favorite book so far this year. It is not written by a doctor. Ferris is a guy that tries all sorts of different experiments on himself to find out what works and what does not. I will not do some of these experiments, because I think some of the supplements are on the dangerous side. (NO-Explode for example.) But I did enjoy reading about how they turned out for Tim. I think some of my fellow reviewers have a cynical view of good reviews and they should think about how enjoyable and interesting the book was to read rather than if his ideas match up to theirs.
It has to be black magic, voodoo or something like it. I have pretty much eaten 5x more than I normally do, exercised about the same amount (2 hours a week or so on an elliptical trainer) and I am down over 10lbs in 2 weeks (my wife is down 20). Its insane. This has been done on diet alone. I can only imagine what gains I will see when I incorporate some of the exercise routines as well. I am your average 43 year old male. This stuff works.
