Me Before You Online eBook by Jojo Moyes Click Here to Download the Book Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick. What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane. Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that. What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

Reviews This one came with a disclaimer saying that it was partner ignoringly compulsive. I can vouch for that. Plus, a friend told me that she cried a lot while reading this book and that too proved t0 be right. Just a glimpse of the book’s Goodreads or Amazon page will tell you the extent of love this book has received from readers world wide. How could I not read? Plus, I had found that it was a selection for Richard and Judy Book Club – it went straight into my shopping basket. Louisa takes up a new position as a carer to Will, a quadriplegic who until his accident lived a lavish city life. Louisa has always lived in the security of her small town, worked at the cheerful Buttered Bun and never went too far away from her family. Family, that is full to capacity- ready with advice, opinion and encouragement. They also tend to give it with a dash of humor and snark but it’s a loving bunch. A twist of fate brings her in to Will Traynor’s life which is chockablock with medical carers, physio therapy sessions, hospital appointments and an overall bleak outlook. Used to being around people at her old job, Louisa initially finds Will’s behavior towards her border lining on hate and repulsion. With a little encouragement from her brilliant little sister Treena, she sticks to her job and surprises herself and those around her by excelling at it and turning it into a life changing event not just for herself. Louisa is a character so easy to like. She is a lot like many of us. She is cheerful, creative, a people person but not completely confident or self assured with her capabilities. She has a spark and an amazing talent for colors and design but has never had the courage to tap it, to do something more. There’s more to that aspect of her than what meets the eye but yes, she has issues while being outwardly normal. Now let me ask you, who doesn’t? You will like her instantly. At least I did. Will on the other hand took me a lot longer to decode. It’s totally understandable why he feels the way he does when you look at the world through his eyes. In the prime of his youth he is bound to a chair and a support system. His family is on constant vigil and his sister resents him for the attention that he getting. It’s not easy for him to watch all of it despite the brave face he puts up for others. People close to him ar moving on in life and he has nothing else to do but sit and watch. In short, this book brings out strong emotions. It’s not the sort that will hold you instantly. That’s what crime thrillers do. It grows on you slow and steady as you begin to get to know these characters, understand where they are coming from and finally why they did- what they did. One thing’s for sure – this book will make you ponder, it’ll make you examine choices we make in life and in face of adversities how we tend to react. Plus, be ready with a box full of tissues because this book does make you cry. Highly, highly recommended!

I'm the type of person who reads the last page before settling down with a book (I know, blasphemy!) just because I absolutely hate sad endings. I'll get so invested in a relationship that I can't read a book that has two people who are meant for each other not live happily ever after. Lately I've been forcing myself not to do that so when I came across Me Before You with it's chick flicky cover I thought to myself 'this looks like a book with a happy ending'. I have never been so wrong in my life. When I say I cried during the book, at the end of the book, after the book, and before I fell asleep...I am not lying. This is the first book that actually made me CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP and I am not an emotional person. But

am I angry that I read it? Not at all. This is one of the most poignant stories I have ever read and it completely changed my perspective on euthanasia and quality of life. Lou has to be my favorite heroine of all time and I fell head over heels in love with Will. I've been eagerly looking for another book like this (wounded hero etc genres) but I don't think I'll ever find one. I even tried some of Jojo Moyes' other books but to be honest I was just looking for the same story with different character names. The fact that I read an ebook version and then went to Chapters and bought a hardcover is a testament to how much I loved Me Before You.

I really, really enjoyed this book. I truly expected a romance, chick-lit type of read. This was so much more than that. Will & Lou broke my heart! They made me laugh, cry and most importantly- think. I thought a lot about the situations these characters were facing. And isn't that the best part of reading a really good book? A book so good, you think about the characters when you're not even reading it? Good stuff! Also, I love reading books by British authors. The slang is wonderful. I wonder if I can get Tim to start calling me pet..
