Reviews I read through the negative reviews out of curiosity. I noticed that the negative reviews (at least the ones I found and read) were from people that did not try the methods in the book, or at least made no claim to have tried the methods. There are some seeming contradictions on the surface when he is trying to keep things simple and than later goes into greater detail, but he explains the differences. I have tried multiple things in the book and had phenomenal results although I did not expect to. My wife even did the diet with me and had great success with that as well. I followed his muscle building techniques as well and had such good results that I was accused multiple times of using roids, but it probably helped that I have the genetics for muscle building already. If you have self discipline and want to follow his methods it is a good buy.

Not only do the ideas in this book work (at least the ones I've tried), even if you do nothing but read and never try a damned thing, you will be thoroughly entertained. It's just fun to read about all the different experiments Ferriss has done to himself, along with whatever others have tried. But if you dedicate yourself to the diet, and really it doesn't take much dedication (in fact it's incredibly easy), you will be rewarded. Not only with a slimmer figure, but in my case (and my girlfriend's), a new found perspective on my relationship with food. I went from being hungry most of the time (cereal for breakfast, hungry two hours later; snack, hungry one-two hours later; etc.), to just feeling good all the time. I'm no longer hungry between meals and no longer crave the things I'm not having (because I get whatever I want on cheat day). I have plenty of energy, never get headaches, and eat to fuel my body; not to gorge on some sugar/carb/crap foodstuff. Not only this, but shopping is super fast (literally I'm in the store no longer than 15 minutes), relatively cheap for even organic ingredients (especially if you don't drink wine... oops that's not me), and cooking is extremely easy and quick. Even if you don't do anything else in the book, it's worth for the simple version of the diet alone. And it's a great


read to boot!

I purchased this book more out of curiosity than anything. I've always been rather healthy and I play a lot of sports so I wanted to test the book's theory. I went on the recommended diet and in just five days I dropped an easy 4 pounds. I'm currently down 8 pounds and it doesn't feel like much of a "diet" at all, which is amazing. Now, to clarify, I didn't get this book as diet book...I got it to see how he recommends transforming one's body. I particularly like that he goes into the science behind a lot of it and demonstrates the results with pictures and facts. Whether you want to lose weight (which if you follow its guidelines, you will) or just learn more about how your body functions, I think it is a very interesting read.
