He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily… Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires. The bonds of his love transformed me, even as i prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart...

Reviews First off, I must state that I have NOT read the famous 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and I do NOT intend to. Therefore, this review is unbiased & rest assured that there will not be any mentions or reference/comparisons to 50 Shades as so many reviews have done. Sylvia Day is a magnificent storyteller and 'Bared to You' is proof of that. 'Bared to You' was a dark, emotionally intense, gritty, compelling, and sensually erotic novel that sucks the reader right in from the beginning and takes them on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Eva and Gideon are such tortured souls with their dark past to prove it. They both have their own demons to slay and so the path of their relationship is not a smooth paved road, but rather a rocky one. They both have flaws and vulnerabilities, yet that's what made them real and rich to me as characters. This story captured my attention from the start and I was heavily immersed in it and what can I say except that I loved it. This contemporary erotic romance also had all that you would want in it: gritty realism, dynamic characters, a great plot & storyline, & a scorching erotic romance between the hero & heroine. 'Bared to You' exceeded my expectations and for that, many praises for Sylvia Day; she did a phenomenal job with this spellbinding and gut-wrenching page-turner. Overall, this novel gets a highly recommend from me. 'Bared to You' is truly a gripping, captivating & emotional story that you will not soon forget.

Hello Sylvia Day, where have you been all my life? This novel was intense. I will say, to be completely truthful, I only picked up this novel because it was next to the 50 shades of Grey trilogy at Barnes and Nobel and since I was splurging on those I decided why not go all out. I think it was my intuition at work. And let me just say I am not disappointed that I now own my very own copy of this book. I'm sure I will be re-reading it in a few months just to get my Gideon and Eva fix. This book definitely delivered. I read it in one day, on New Years day, right after finishing all the 50 shades series. This was the best New Years Day gift I could give myself! And since I had just finished 50, I was more than aware of all the similarities that were present in this book. In all honesty, I really think the only reason Ms. Day wrote this book was because of all the press that 50 was getting and she was disappointed that none of it was coming her way. I mean, she is an established author and everything. But even with the similarities clearly apparent, I could also see where the stories diverted. And in the end, Gideon and Eva were entities in themselves. Once I was deeply entrenched in this novel, it was not 50 that kept popping into my mind but Gossip Girl. I only watched the first two seasons of Gossip Girl in a mad frenzy a year ago, so I am not an expert in any frame of reference. But to me Eva was Serena, there is just no getting around it. When I imagined Eva in my mind it was the actress Blake Lively taking Krav Magav and dancing at charity events. And that to me is okay since this book was so juicy I could not put it down

In the span of twelve hours, I started and finished Sylvia Day's Bared to You. I would've finished it earlier but I was working... Bared to You is about Gideon Cross and Eva Trammel. Eva has just moved to New York and is starting a new

career and life. On her first day, she literally bumps into Gideon Cross. Gideon is your typical tall dark and handsome fellow, just the way I like 'em. Eva feels instant attraction to Gideon and vice versa. Gideon suggests a sexual relationship and gets turned down but that won't deter him. Gideon will stop at nothing to make Eva his, even if that means using some creative albeit stalker-esque techniques. Gideon and Eva do end up in a casual relationship but that all changes after they sleep together... Bared to You was an incredibly satisfying read. I loved that Eva was a strong woman and did her own thing even though there was a powerful man in her life. I loved that she took care of him when he needed it and I loved that he did the same. They aren't perfect characters. They've got flaws and insecurities, as well as their family and friends which is so refreshing. There are a lot of comparisons to Fifty Shades of Grey and I wanted to touch base on that. I've read the Fifty Shades series and loved them. Christan Grey is hot. I saw some similarities yet I personally didn't feel there was a comparison. I did find it funny that Sylvia made fun of the email exchanges that occurred in Fifty Shades. Overall, I'd highly recommend Bared to You to all ladies and some men. Men, if your lady is reading this, take a peek as well. If you think it's going to be Fifty Shades, beware, because this has way more sexual content than Fifty Shades ever did. I can't wait to read the second novel which is titled Reflected in You and is set to release in October 2012.

After reading 50 Shades I thought there would never be another book as good ,well I was wrong!! I find myself wanting more from the Crossfire series. I do not think I could ever get enough when it comes to Gideon and Eva ! Reading these books I have felt all of my emotions come alive, I was laughing, crying, and felt angry !!! If I had to recommend a book to all of my 50 Shades friends this is "THE ONE". Really looking forward to reading more from the Crossfire series !!!!!! Thank you Sylvia Day !!!
