Trust Waikato Research Scholarship Information Trust Waikato holds a range of investments on behalf of the greater Waikato community. The income from these investments is used to fund a variety of community projects including community-based research. Wintec receives an allocation (donation) annually on application to Trust Waikato for student projects and applies for funding for approved research proposals from staff. There are two categories of research funding available for Wintec Staff and Students. A. Trust Waikato Student Research Scholarships: The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage research at the Waikato Institute of Technology by assisting with fee costs and research expenses from students enrolled in research based courses (scholarships up to a maximum of $4000).
