These regulations should be read in conjunction with the Institute’s Academic Regulations, clause 2 General Programme Regulations. 1.

Entry Requirements 1.1. There is open entry to this programme, although candidates must demonstrate a reasonable likelihood of success. Consult clause 2.3.5 of the Academic Regulations regarding admission to entry level programmes. 1.2. Candidates may be required to participate in an interview selection process to assess their genuine desire to enter the Electricity Supply Industry.

Informal /Formal Transfer of Credit Candidates may apply for transfer of credit for relevant unit standards.

Programme Requirements 3.1. Every candidate for the National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Vegetation Control) (Level 2) shall to the satisfaction of the Academic Board follow a programme of study for a period of normally not less than one semester of full time study. This programme is also available for parttime study. 3.2. Each candidate’s programme of study shall comprise the compulsory modules listed in section 7 of these regulations, totalling a minimum of 76 credits.

Completion of the Programme A candidate may take up to two years to complete this programme, unless an extension is granted by special permission of the Head of School or designated equivalent, or authorised nominee.

5.

Assessment Assessment in this programme is competency based, therefore, aegrotat consideration is not available.

6.

Award of the Qualification Candidates who successfully complete the programme requirements as set out in these regulations will be eligible to apply to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority for the award of the National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Vegetation Control)(Level 2).
