Wings of Love Women’s Ministry A network of Christian women helping other women discover and cultivate their God-given gifts and minister to others.

Mission Wings of Love Women’s Ministry (WLWM) is a network of Christian women from around the world. Our endeavor is to create an atmosphere where women can realize healing and spiritual growth, while cultivating their God-given gifts and ministering in their local churches and their communities and the world. Women have been a vital part of the ongoing ministry of the Body fo Christ since its early beginnings throughout the scriptures. Their ministries now reach around the world with a variety of vision and focus including Prayer, Bible Study, local and world missions, benevolence, prison outreach, and youth. WLWM’s desire is to connect with other women who have battled abuse in their lives, and who have been held back from moving forward for whatever reason. We seek to encourage victims of abuse to go forth and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ with more commitment & boldness, knowing that through healing and restoration “the good work God has began in them He will complete.” Motivated solely by the gospel, WLWM exists to help women discover that they are God’s Masterpiece, intricately and divinely created for the glory of God, and to assist congregations in nurturing, encouraging and equipping women to faithfully and fully use their God-given gifts to glorify God. “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for prosperity and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Wings of Love So many things tried to inhibit my flight My wings felt heavy attempting to carry my heart’s plight Until the muscle of my faith Lifted me high in sweet grace That I may truly glide With finesse in hope filled skies Looking up with my eyes Unable to see the low pursuit of my demise And I soared . . . While by angels my enemies were abhorred Because my strength comes from above Which is why I fly with the Wings of Love C 2011 Deneene A. Collins

Instilling Hope

Tips for the Virtuous Woman Living the Proverbs 31 Life - Proverbs 31:13 By Patricia Samuels Proverbs 31:13 She seeks out wool and flax and works with willing hands [to develop it]. This is the verse we mentioned in the introductory lesson. Again, I wouldn't suggest taking this verse too literally, unless you have a desire to develop wool and flax. If you don't have a desire to develop wool and flax, note that the spirit of the text speaks to the Proverbs 31 Woman being an industrious woman. It also speaks to something a little deeper. As with rubies and pearls (Lesson 2), wool and flax also have symbolic meaning. First, let's define wool and flax. Wool is the dense, soft, often curly hair forming the coat of sheep that is processed into a textile fiber. After being processed, wool is white and is a symbol of purity (See Deut. 22:9-11) and forgiveness of sins (See Isaiah 1:18). Flax is a widely cultivated plant, having pale blue flowers, seeds that yield linseed oil, and slender stems from which a textile fiber is obtained . It is picked and processed into either a very fine yarn used for high quality linen or lace, or a tougher yarn used in making ropes. The spiritual significance of wool and flax includes that both items must be processed before they can be of use. Their uses are both functional (wool - warmth) and fashionable (flax-linen-beautiful clothing). They are both derived from living things: wool from animals (sheep) and flax from plants. However, these derivations are where I see something of great spiritual significance. In the Bible days, wool and linen were forbidden to be worn together by the Israelites. (See Deut. 22:9-11 and Eze. 44:17-18.). Obviously, one would not generally mix the two together, because wool provides warmth and linen provides coolness. However, more importantly than this, wool represents the Children of God, and flax (linen) represents the world, or Gentiles. Wool came from sheep, symbolic of the Children of God and flax came from Egypt, a type of the world. (See Isaiah 19:9.). God forbade his chosen people from mixing with those who were outside of the Covenant. Similarly, he forbids us, as Christians, from being yoked together with unbelievers. (See II Cor. 6:14.). However, it is God's will that all men be saved. His having a chosen people, the Israelites, was just to be the first fruits of his Kingdom. It was always his desire for the Gentiles to worship him as Jehovah. It is also his desire for unbelievers to become believers. So, when I read that the Proverbs 31 Woman "seeks wool and flax and works with willing hands to develop it," I see ministry. I see her ministering to the Christian (teaching) and to the unbeliever (evangelism). Her "willing hands to develop it" speaks to her never giving up on sharing the God of her salvation with others and in not becoming dismayed if the people appear unreceptive. She knows that she has either planted or watered a seed and God will provide the increase. (See I. Cor. 3:6.). Now, is this to say that everyone should be a minister? No. Everyone is not called to the ministry, per se. However, we are all to share the gospel with others. We do so by witnessing with our mouths and with our lifestyles. We don't have to mount the pulpit and take a text, but we do have to let the light of God shine through us. So, be a Proverbs 31 Woman and willingly let your light shine before Christians and unbelievers, so that neither will live beneath the privilege of salvation, which is complete peace. .

THE GOD OF POSSIBILITY . . . with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26) Possible – capable of existing; being true, being accomplished; being used for a particular purpose. There are many benefits to trusting God, and putting our faith in His Word. As we continue to feast on the Word, it penetrates our hearts and minds, renewing them, and thereby changing our thoughts and attitudes. The more we feast on the Word, the quicker the limits we place on God will be removed. Limits that have been implanted through: 1. 2. 3. 4.

Unbelief, doubt, and worry; Believing what others say about God; The indoctrinalization by parents and other persons of influence; and Walking according to our own imagination and feelings.

God wants us to remove the limits because as we place limits on His ability to fulfill His promises, we correspondingly place limits on our receiving the fullness of our blessings and our ability to fulfill our God-given purposes. When we remove the limits through reading, studying, and meditating on the Word of God, we can soar like an eagle through the sky. We can know with assurance through the most difficult circumstances, that “God is able to do the impossible.” He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Psalm 91:4) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7) Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God. They are bowed down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright. (Psalm 20:7-8)

God of Possibility (con’t) By: Minister Karmen A. Booker

By trusting in God we: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

Receive strength mightier than the Rock of Gibraltar; Receive joy that is everlasting through God’s everlasting presence; Receive our heart’s desire; Receive blessings to be a blessing. Receive a crown of pure gold, representing the purity of our heart, mind, and soul. Receive long life. Receive great glory. Receive splendor and majesty.

When we trust in God unreservedly (without an ounce of doubt), we place ourselves in a “Risen” position and remain there. However, once doubt creeps in, we immediately begin to fall away, our faith begins to weaken, and we begin to lose sight of God and His purposes for our lives. WE MUST STAY FOCUSED and REMOVE THE LIMTIS IN OUR LIVES.

Tips for Having an Efficient Board Meeting * Ten days to two weeks before a board meeting, send an announcement of the meeting to all board members. Include the minutes from the last meeting and an agenda for the upcoming meeting. Also include any committee reports, financial statements or background research that the board will discuss at the meeting. * Limit the length of meetings to two hours or less. After two hours, attention begins to wane. If you must go longer than two hours, take a break. Offering refreshments is always a good idea. * Try to find a conference room for the meeting. Holding a discussion around a conference table is much easier than holding one in someone’s living room. The table offers a place to set papers. Avoid holding meetings in restaurants and cafes, if possible. The noise levels are too high to make good discussion possible, and all the activity is a constant distraction. * Stick to the agenda. Don’t allow people to wander off the topic. Some agendas allow time for discussion after each time. You don’t have to include discussion time, but if your meetings have been veering of course, this technique may work for your board. * Follow Robert’s Rules of Order. You don’t need to be overly formal in your meetings (and many board meetings are very casual), but having a basic knowledge of when to make a motion and when to call the question is helpful.

10 Keys to A Life of Uncommon Living By Janice Marie McMillian

We all want to live the uncommon life. I know I do. As a coach, I value change and reinvention. I believe change is necessary for energizing your soul. For me, it's hard to stay in the routine for too long - I need a goal to pursue, a revelation to marinate on, a person to help. A key to living an uncommon life is by changing your perception. In order to see the fluidity of life, you must see it through a new eye. This may require daily refocusing. It's like refreshing your eye "browser." This is what we do with our computers when we want to clear the previous path. And it is so with our own lives, we need to refresh every now and then with a new direction, new relationships, new knowledge, new assignments, and whatever else that will jumpstart us out of the common to the uncommon. I have a question for you, "Do you have a new eye or are you responding to life out of the old eye?" If you are responding to life out of the old eye, allow me to share some concepts on how to live the uncommon life. It's important to see yourself as an enterprise and a brand. You are your own message. Ask yourself, what are you saying to people when they encounter you? Who and what do you represent? * Uncommon living requires a wardrobe change. It's important to reinvent yourself 2-3 times in your life because there is so much untapped potential on the inside of you that it will take your lifespan to bring it all out. * You must be active in the game of life - you must keep going because success comes through working it out. Giving up is not an option unless you know that you are absolutely in the wrong place. And even then, take what you've learned in that place and keep moving forward * Stop looking at the mountain top and purpose in your heart to start at the level where you know you fit. Then, advance up the mountain one step at a time. Cover all of your bases. * Figure out what your goals are because doing nothing will cost you. Time is moving and before you know it you've been ushered into a new season. You don't want to repeat the same practices from the last season. Therefore, create weekly, monthly, yearly goals. * You can get what you want as long as you can help other people to get what they want. In other words, don't live a selfish life. What you do for others, God will make happen for you. * Listen to your dissatisfaction. Sometimes when you are unsatisfied, your heart may be trying to tell you something. Don't override your internal alarm system. * You must see things that normal people don't see. Train your eye to see beyond what is there. Examine the different territories that you find yourself in. * Learn to give more than you have. God's economy is vastly different from the world's economy. I know it doesn't make sense to give when you don't have anything, but be assured that when you sow or give into people's lives, you shall also reap. It's tied into God's WORD and the laws of nature. * Get everyone away from you who doesn't believe and who does’t agree with the plan for your life because they will pull on your motivation and enthusiasm. Stay connected to people who bring light into your life.
