Rageese was the fourth-equal highest rated 2YO in Australia by Timeform in 2014/15, in a crop headed by Gr.1 winners Vancouver, Exosphere and Pride Of Dubai.

Rageese confirmed his connections high regard at his second start at two when finishing an unlucky second in the Gr.2 ATC Pago Pago Stakes prior to filling the runnerup position behind Street Cry’s multiple Gr.1 winning 2YO Pride Of Dubai in the Gr.1 AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes. Following his maiden victory over 1350m as an early Spring 3YO, Rageese displayed highclass form to finish fourth in the Gr.1 ATC Golden Rose Stakes, third in the Gr.2 ATC Stan Fox Stakes and a meritorious fifth in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas. Rageese added further to his classic season resume in the Autumn, winning over 1300m in Melbourne before a runaway stakes win over 1400m in the H C Nitschke Stakes at Morphettville.

As a 4YO Rageese continued his improvement to score a decisive victory over Great Britain’s 2015 champion older miler Arod in the Gr.3 VRC L’Oreal Paris Stakes over 1400m at Flemington during Melbourne’s Spring Carnival.

Following this success Rageese was installed favourite for the Gr.1 Railway Stakes in Perth only to be scratched on race morning due to a stone bruise.
