Memory Lane, Old Orchard Beach Show Tuesday, April 24 We’ll take a walk back through “Memory Lane” and remember Old Orchard Beach in the 1950’s. This interactive, nostalgic, presentation will take you right back in time. The music, the pictures, the information, some facts and figures you may not have known about will all be part of this activity. This is truly entertainment at it’s finest. All Aboard for a History Tour! Tuesday, May 8 Windham Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with the Windham Historical Society, will be providing a two-hour history tour of town on Tuesday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. This information-packed excursion will take passengers on a trip through time spanning three centuries of Windham history. Points of interest include Friends Church, some early cemeteries, the Parson Smith House, the LC Andrew House, South Windham Village, and more. Haley Pal from the Windham Historical Society will be our tour guide; proceeds from trip will benefit the Historical Society. Cost: $18

Lilac Festival Tuesday, May 29 Every year visitors flock to McLaughlin Garden and Homestead's Lilac Festival at the end of May to see more than 200 different lilacs in the Paris historic garden. Experience the colors and scents of one of the largest lilac collections in Maine. Late May is usually the time for peak lilac blooms. Along with the wonderful lilacs, many perennials will also be in bloom. Come and join us for a stroll among the three and a half acres of cultivated gardens. DEW Haven Friday , June 15 It all started with traditional farm animals in 1980, and soon started helping rescue Maine wildlife and then getting a few exotic animals. DEW is now haven to over 200 animals from all over the world. DEW is a non-profit family founded zoo and rescue, built from the ground up by Bob and Julie Miner. Amish Country, Lancaster PA Monday October 15 - Friday October 19 Lancaster County is known for it’s scenic beauty and is home to one of the oldest Amish settlements in the U.S. The guided tour of Lancaster will include a visit to the Landis Valley Living History Museum, filled with historic buildings and costumed interpreters who demonstrate the daily life of a 19th century Pennsylvania Dutch Village. Stops at Independence Hall, Penn’s Landing and home of Betsy Ross—also a visit to Hershey. Last but not least, you will experience Gettysburg National Park.
