2015 Q2 OV ER V I E W

S

ales of homes, for the year ended June 30, 2015, in West Bellevue have increased slightly over the same period of the prior year (384 compared to 372). The market is very active, inventory is tight, and waterfront property is particularly scarce. As a result, there has been strong competition among buyers, particularly in the $1.5 to $2 million price range. Multiple offers have become common, even among $5 million+ listings. Foreign buyers and executives relocating to the area continue to play a prominent role in fueling demand for luxury homes on the Eastside. • In the first half of 2015, there were 26 sales of homes valued at $3 million or more, a 44% increase over the 18 sales made in the first six months of 2014. • During that same period, sales of $5 million+ homes doubled from five in 2014 to 10 in 2015. • In the second quarter of 2015, 68% of sellers of high-end properties chose a Windermere agent to represent them.
