The uniqueness of this trivet design is because its size can be easily adjusted according to the size of the pan/ pot. Some pots (ex: for a casserole dish) require a larger size of pot stand/ trivet. This trivet can be arranged accordingly and can provide enough space for both large and small size pans. If it is detached, each piece can also be an individual coaster for the wine glass. It can also be folded or detached neatly away for convenient storage. This trivet is made from a heat resistant material and has an elegant appearance that fits for modern looking settings of fine food dining experience.

While consuming fine food or enjoying a drink of wine in a fine dining set up, people cherish their quality time with their companions. For most people, consuming fine food and drink is as important as having a pleasant enjoyable time with others or someone special. This transformable clock fits into that scenario and it is “blooming” as the time passed by. For every second, the clock’s formation is evolving gradually. While people enjoy their meals together, it transforms the meaning of time from a “good time” to a better time and then to the best unforgettable moment of their life.

The aim of this project is to design a Melbourne Bike Sharing system concept in the future. The suggested concept is called “Commonbike 24/7 Tech, a part of Melbourne transport system which based on community sharing to develop a sustainable Melbourne and integrated with the advantages of innovative technology access. The technology integrated for the concept is to have a built in GPS system in each of the bike which elaborated with the smart key system. The system benefits the maintenance of the operating system, providing direction and convenience to the users, as well as reducing the vandalism problem. Commonbike support a positive value of building a strong connected community with the culture of sharing. Moreover, the concept is the solution for an ECO city with zero emission and maximizes the use of solar power.

During the project, some selected representatives are also expected to run a bike sharing pilot (CommonBike) in Melbourne for 3 weeks (in May 2009). Active participation in managing the pilot and supervision as the research coordinator were the biggest contributions for the team of the project. At the end of this project, Melbourne Share Bike forum was held in which I had entrusted to held 2 times presentations as a lead presenter to discuss the outcomes of Common Bike pilot; debate Melbourne’s Bike Sharing needs; and talk about an ideal future system. This design concept has been honourly selected to be presented in this Bike Sharing Forum in June 2009, and acknowledged for its contribution in current Melbourne’s bike sharing system.
