Birthdays and More! The Arts Center has many rooms that are used for different reasons. When I first came to work at the Arts Center many of the rooms stood quite. Then after some cleaning up and out and a little restorative work, the rooms began to take on a life of their own. One of such rooms is the guitar studio. It was revamped with a generous donation of materials from Home Depot and now has a stage complete with a raised wooden floor and porch overhang. Great place to have a small theater production and could be used for a small concert venue. We actually are now thinking of using it on a certain weeknight to host bands who would like to perform in front of a small audience and showcase their talents. The Kaleidoscope Room although it had been refurbished years ago thanks to the generosity of the Moultrie Service League is another room that has really begun to shine. We host 2nd graders in this room during the first part of the school year. Children come and learn about past events in history that took place in our part of the world and learn about colors, the color wheel, noted artists(past and present), and other forms of art. This room can also be used to hold birthday parties. Yes, we host birthday parties at the Arts Center. We offer a variety of parties from Pottery Parties, Art Parties, Scavenger Hunts, Puppet Parties, Dress Up Tea Parties, Cooking Parties and Rock Star Parties. The Kaleidoscope room is great for most of these parties and it has whimsically painted walls that are conducive for children’s parties. The last area of our Arts Center that has started to really shine is our Sculpture Garden. We started “Evening in the Garden” events out in this beautiful setting and word has spread about what a great area it is for parties and receptions. It is beautifully landscaped with a fountain, flowers, an arbor loaded with Confederate Jasmine, and of course sculptural pieces. Pictures for viewing of this area are available on our website at If you are interested in any of these rooms or services, or events we offer please contact the Arts Center office at 229-985-1922. We will try to accommodate you in every way!
