IM PACT ECONOMIC

REPORT CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY RESEARCH CORPORATION FY 2012-2013

PRESIDENTS

MESSAGE “We are proud to be part of a region that focuses on innovation.”

Michigan is the “Comeback State”. As Governor Snyder has stated, “Unemployment is down. Home sales are up. Michigan’s economy has hit a 10-year high. In the last two years, we have balanced our budget, per-capita income has risen, and Michiganders are creating more and better jobs.” It is fair to say this year was a tremendous success as CMURC worked diligently to reinvent our programs and space to create the best opportunities for the local community, region and state to aid in the creation of more and better jobs. Our focus has always been the entrepreneur, and we will continue to reinvent our programs and space to meet the ever evolving needs of the innovative spirit. We are proud to be part of a region that focuses on innovation. We are proud to be part of a region that works together to find best practices for business and looks to make the quality of life better around them. We are proud to be part of a region that actively engages in its young professionals and seeks to retain the next generation of leaders. Most importantly, we are grateful for your support and will continue to maximize our impact on the local community, state, and Great Lakes Bay Region.
