Dear Parents and Care Givers Y8 Review Morning – Monday 11 June The Review Morning for our Year 8 students will take place on Monday 11th June – the first day back after the half-term holiday - and we request your support, as follows: • Year 8 students will be given an allotted time to meet their mentors between 8.40 - 9.25am • All other year groups will register with form tutors at 9.30am Thank you in anticipation of your continued support. Boulogne Visit – 13th July 2012 Thank you to those of you who have paid in full for the above visit. May I respectfully advise you that the balance of £48 is due by Friday 25th May and that all payments must be made by ParentPay. There will be an Information Meeting for Parents on Tuesday 19th June at 6pm. Please bring your child’s passport and European Health Insurance Card to this meeting. These will be held in the school safe until the visit and will be returned to your child at the end of the visit in a sealed, named envelope. A few spaces for the visit have unexpectedly become available. If any Y8 students would like to come with us to France in July and they have a passport, they should come to speak to Mrs Jefferson as soon as possible. The cost of the visit is £88 and can be paid in two instalments. Congratulations to the following successful students: Under 17s Boys Singles George Rees Y10 1st Under 15s Boys Singles James Saunders Y9 1st Kieran Avery and Douglas Heaton both Y8 - placed in the first four Under 15s Girls Singles Emily Bache Y9 1st Megan Bache, Megan Weir, and Katie Davie all Y8 - placed in the first five All of these pupils have been selected for trials with Warwickshire County - watch this space for the results! The birds of tree A say to the birds of tree B that if one of you comes to our tree, then our population will be double yours. Then the birds of tree B tell the birds of tree A that if one of you comes here, then our population will be equal to that of yours. How many birds are in each tree?
