Elegant in Rich Blue These blue cabinets will lend sophistication to any kitchen design. Leaded-glass inserts and sand color countertops prevent these handsome almost black cabinets from overpowering the space. Bronze knobs and pulls enhance the elegant feel.

Cottage Green Green on the island and backsplash pairs with white cabinetry to communicate classic appeal in this kitchen. Beaded panels give the island cottage charm, while a glossy finish on the subway tiles updates the look. The island’s butcher block top lends warmth to the abundance of white and provides a practical surface for meal prep.

Seeing Red These bright red cabinets make a cheerful statement in this galley kitchen, transforming plain flat front cabinets into something to talk about. Silvery pulls, stainless steel appliances and white countertops provide plenty of visual relief and some eye appealing shimmer.

Lighting Lighting has become the focal point of a room rather than just a necessity. These Memory Balloon lights by John Moncrieff are one of our favourite statement pieces – They are inspired by childhood memories and designed to allow the free passage of play and imagination, without floating away. Hand blown using coloured glass they exemplify the belief that beautiful design and high quality should go hand in hand. Available to hang on the wall or ceiling.

Are you looking to add some extra pizzazz to your kitchen without making any permanent changes? Check out the great selection of bright and cheery kitchen appliances available in stores today that will add a pop of color and make cooking a little more fun.

Alternate Accessories Use a neutral background as the canvas for pops of bright colour, clean lines, and funky patterns. In this living room, a coat of chic white paint on the shelves and white sofa give a neutral counter point to the bright flowers, books and accessories that are alternated throughout the wall shelve unit. When you feel like a change in the colour scheme simply swap out the accessories for a whole new look.

Furniture Patchwork furniture is a hot trend this year! No longer just for that Bohemian design look but as statement pieces in modern and traditional design. Adding unique patchwork furniture pieces can give a room a playful and energetic feel while adding diverse textures and pretty colours to your space.

Wallpaper & Paint Adding colours, textures and patterns can create instant style to your home with little effort if you paint and use wallpaper. Wallpaper once was thought of as an alternative to paint, Today its ability to transform a space with bold patterns and the illusion of texture on a flat surface is incredible.

Whether you're adding bright blocks of colour to your walls or bold colour patterns to your draperies or furniture, the key to making it all work is in balancing your colours and creating harmony. Window coverings For an easy splash of colour add bold hues and unique patterns to your windows. Bold large patterned curtains transform a muted room into a fabulously lively space. Mimick the colour scheme around the room in pillows and dĂŠcor.

Mix & Match Pattern and colour partner together to infuse flair into this kitchen breakfast space. The combination of a bright shinny red countertop and vibrant colored bar stools in a geometric pattern help the eye travel through the spacious room. Varying the scale of the patterns, along with large swaths of neutrals on the walls and floor helps pace the exuberant look.
