The concept The main concept for the St Martins Practice rebrand is to create aa brand that communicates ‘relationships’, ‘openness’ and ‘caring’. By taking the first letter of Martins I have simply placed a circle in the middle of the letter to make it appear as a person, while still resembling the letter. This links the icon of the logo to St Martins immediately. Placing the ‘m’s in a circle represents relationships and openness within the St Martins community. It also looks as if people are holding hands in a circle. To make each of the business cards a little more personal I have also come up with a concept to change the colour of one of the ‘m’s on the business cards to represent to the patient that the specific doctor is theirs. This concept works with the 8 ‘m’ icon and the 12 ‘m’ icon. The colour combinations I have chosen are bold and I feel represent St Martins in the right manner.

Additionals The information I have used for address and telephone numbers etc, is just as an example. Obviously it will change. I have good experience with different paper stock and printers when it comes to stationary so I would be able to advise you on things like this. I found it a little bit difficult designing examples of signage because, I don’t know what the building will look like, however I have given you examples, and my interpretation of how I imagine the style of the building to be.

This is how I have developed the logo. They are small changes, but they are consistant with your suggestion and still keep the overall feel of the brand. I have put two designs here for you to choose from. One has circles to signify hands and make them look more like people, the other without.

An example of how a letterhead would be laid out. Simple and adhere’s to all of the NHS guidlines. The back of the letterhead could be the logo made larger but made slightly transparent, like a watermark.

These business cards, would be printed on to white stock and could be a range of weights of paper. I have good experience with business cards and can advise you as needed on all choices of stock.

Welcomes New Patients This is the signage that would be placed at the front of the building. I have added opening times to this. There is also space for more names to go on there. The second part of this sign is another sign that could be removed if you were full of patients etc.

The white space between the main sign, and the ‘welcomes new patients’ part would have a space between them.

Reception

Reception

Reception The basic idea here is that each area of the new practice could be coloured differently depending on the dept. For example, patient rooms, nurses rooms. Again not totally sure if this applies to the new building.

Doctor rooms 1-6 Doctor rooms 7-11 Main Toilets

Again using the same colour for each dept. idea these internal directional signs will help patients to navigate their way around the practice.

I considered that uniforms might be appropriate for some members of staff so I have given you some examples of how the logo could work on polo tops or even shirts.

An example of how the logo could be used as signage in the reception of the new building.
