Concept The concept behind this project was to brand a corporation and create something that is commercially viable.The idea was to make it formal and clean. The target audience for this idea was financially orientated male’s and female’s aged 35+.

Website - 800px x 600px For the website, I tried to develop something that was professional and engaging to tell the user about the company mainly. The idea is that the vertical bars in the top half act as main content area, and they slide along depending on which part of the website the user navigates to.

Letterhead - 210mm x 297mm 135gsm matte With this I tried to take on the same idea as the business card. I wanted to keep it simple and clean. Centering the address and then having two columns for the email and phone number is how I went about this. For the back of the letterhead it would be a solid grey with a UV spot varnish of the Surters logo in reverse.

Compliment Slip - 210mm x 100mm 135gsm matte As a compliment slip it stayed in the same style as the rest of the brand. The only difference with this slip is that I decided not to put “With Compliments” on it so that the user could add whatever they wanted. Also if this went to print I would have it printed as a pad so that it could be used for notes as necessary.

Business Cards - 55mm x 85mm 400gsm matte I wanted to create simple business cards that were corporate and clean. I used white and different shades of grey’s as the colours and sans serif typeface for the body text. The print process on the Surters logo is foil blocking, and this is shown in the context photography.

CD Case - 297mm x 135mm 135gsm matte A simple case printed on to matte paper. It is a simple sleeve to contain a CD.

Letterhead - 210mm x 297mm 135gsm matte The letterhead is clean and simple, and I wanted it to look as professional as possible. For the back of the letterhead I have the red stripe running down the same side as the logo is on. Right aligned text down the line of the right side of the logo to keep it clean.

Menu - 297mm x 420 270gsm matte The menu is A3 printed on both sides. I used the food and prices off other menu’s as an example. Again the red stripe coming off the logo is there to incorporate the logo on to the page more.

Business Card - 55mm x 85mm 400gsm matte Red on one side with the content on the other, I wanted to create a simple design that would give the necessary information and nothing more.

Receipt/Reserved For the receipt I layed out an example of what it would be like the stock would be the same as the letterhead, 135gms matte paper white. As for the reserved signs, they are small and have two folds on the ends so that they can stand up like mini tables. Again printed on to the same stock as the letterhead.

The App This is the design for the app. It has 6 features in it. And I have designed 3 versions so they would all work across the OSX platform and Andriod. The 6 main features are - Tracking a parcel, Getting a quote to send a parcel, Contacting the Pharos Team, Getting News and Updates, Getting Help with orders or related matters and being

able to organise sending a parcel and getting the labels etc. I decided to stick with the company colours. I had to keep it simple because of the size restrictions of the designs.

Letterhead - 210mm x 297mm 135gsm matte The letterhead incorporates the 3 box logo which I put together to give the logo a bit more depth when it is on the page. Because of the bigger than normal logo at the top I decided that the address and such at the bottom was the best decision. Also with the orange back it makes it stand out when placed on a table.

Compliment Slip - 105mm x 210mm 135gsm matte The compliment slip is the same as the letterhead but it has a border around it. I did this so that it fit in with the orange back. It seemed to make it more consistant.

Business Card - 55mm x 85mm 135gsm matte Simple white business card with the logo on the front and then the content on the other side. I used the same colours as the type in the logo for the content (Grey/Orange) to keep it consistant.

Invoice I layed out an example of an invoice that would be sent out to a customer in one of the envelopes that I photgraphed on another board. Again sticking with the same colours to keep it consistant.

Website The website promotes the app and also allows customers to look at more information. The webside of this project wasn’t a big part of the project but here are a couple development pictures, and the final website promoting the new release of the app. The website would fit to a 800px x 600px size which would allow access from all screen

sizes including mobile phones. This was an important consideration in the design.

Final Context Pictures Some of the shots are shot on a cardboard background to give the context of boxes. Other shots are shot on a desk. I tried to photograph the bright orange which is a key part of making the brand stand out.

Concept A hard brief, so I wanted to try and do something up to date with a old typographic meaning. The brief asked that the ISTD brand be spread across a wide range of medians, and I achieved this through designing a ISTD typeface.

Development The idea behind the logo was to represent the iconic old letterpress wheel and lever, but to keep it minimalistic and clean. The strike through represents the lever and also a style of Graphic Design presently.The circle represents the wheel of the letterpress machines. However after feedback it was clear that it looked similar to a planet and the strike

through was questionable.

Type Posters Lowercase Lowercase typeface of Skane, layed out in the alphabet to get the full range of typeface.

Uppercase Same as the Lowercase character set. I took inspiration from Gill Sans and Rockwell and designed these posters as promotion.

Typeface Context This is a picture that I took in NY over the summer and I turned it in to a inspirational poster using the designed typeface, to show how it would work.

Business Card 85mm x 55mm 400gsm matte To fit with the logo the same grey was used so that the top right edge highlighted the logo. On the otherside I kept it very simple and only gave 4 bits of information.

Compliment Slip 210mm x 105mm 135gsm matte The compliment is the same layout as the letterhead with the same background.

Letterhead 210mm x 297mm 135gsm matte With the layout at the top it kept the page clean. The background I used because it is again different, and would be unique to the brand. Maybe even making it recogniseable to just ISTD, which is what the brief wanted.
