Their Quiz Night revealed some hidden talents and interesting facts about both the senior rowers and coaches. The girls welcomed Principal Jane Danvers, members of staff, and many of their parents to the camp on Saturday evening for a wonderful barbeque dinner after watching the girls train for the afternoon. The Sunday morning saw the roles reversed, were the girls watched some of their parents take to the water, challenging the coaches in the annual ‘carp cup’ rowing race. The camp was an enjoyable and rewarding experience for the girls and their coaches. Relationships were strengthened, squad bonds were developed, and the community cohesion of Wilderness Rowing positively grew. All girls should be commended on their commitment and perseverance throughout the camp, and are enthused to continue this in their preparation and training towards Head of the River on 25 March 2017.
