When multiple ONGUARDs are installed in high priority rooms a responsive network is created to notify, defend, and suppress a home fire. Each ONGUARD communicates back to a home base through the homes wifi network. This base is a fireproof hard drive that archives temperature data and photographic evidence from the very start of the fire. All of this information is compiled to recreate the scene of a fire and aid in determining the cause of a home fire.

From the moment ONGUARD detects smoke, it begins compiling pictures and temperature data which is then stored within the fireproof hardrive. This information can later be retrieved to determine an accurate cause of the fire and spread of a home fire.

Date: December 8, 2013 Duration: 1.5 Hours Mr. Waters discussed what he saw as major areas for opportunity for innovation within home fire safety. Discussions included opportunities for firefighter equipment, vehicles, and new technologies. But in the end he revealed that the most beneficial product would be one that is proactive and contained within the house so that it could act before the fire department even left the station. A key quote was â€œPrepare and prevent, not repair and repent.â€?

In stores most of the smoke detectors are the same technology in different shells. Trends are moving towards voice announcements rather than tonal signals. new Technology Chemicals are currently being used in two areas of fire protection. When fighting a fire, they can be mixed with the water to make it more effective, also fire extinguishers are using these same chemicals to be come more effective.
Weighing in at less than one pound, PhostrEx is revolutionizing the aviation fire suppression market. While it is roughly the size of a soda can, it packs enough punch to fully extinguish a jet engine. One of the great advantages of PhostrEx is that it uses fifteen percent of the greenhouse gas Halon that other turbine extinguishers use. While PhostrEx seems almost perfect, the enormous amounts of pressure it contains would not be suitable for use in homes.
Most commonly used in data centers and areas with sensitive equipment, Pyrogen eliminates the issue of water damage. Pyrogen is also made of a solid brick of compound so that it never needs to be re-pressurized or serviced. Once pyrogen expels itself, the powder by-product is simply cleaned up using a broom or vacuum cleaner.
