THOUGHTS FROM OUR DIRECTOR

RIDE THE WAVE OF SUMMER READING Here we are, on the verge of another summer season, full of fun times and opportunities to explore and discover. We want to help you and your family make this a summer filled with new experiences. Join us each week at one of our three locations as we “Build a Better World.” This summer we are incorporating crafts, STEM, robotics, theater, yoga, movies, gaming and LEGOs into one creative summer of Maker Space. All focused on making sure you and your children take a few minutes each day to read, talk and share. All this will be tracked with our new, online summer reading site from Beanstack. Earn badges, log your reading and receive suggestions for books you might like, all for free. You can create a wish list of titles to read, log what you have read and write recommendations of your titles. Suggested titles are available for children and adults. Stop by our website – wicomicolibrary.org – to start your Beanstack account. Sign-ups for children, teen and adult Summer Reading begins June 1, 2017. Andrea Berstler, Executive Director
