Members & Volunteers Wanted WON’T YOU JOIN US? From its beginning in 1869 as a private library in rented space, Wicomico Public Library has grown in size, services and contributions to the community. Each year, more than 650,000 items are borrowed from one of our 3 locations, over 45,000 information questions are answered, and 45% of Wicomico County residents currently have a library card.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Friends of Wicomico Public Libraries provide support for this necessary public organization. Being a Friend shows your commitment to the Library; its resources, services and its educational opportunities; demonstrates to local leaders that the Library is vital to our community and continues the library’s base of support.

Can you spare 3 hours a week? We are seeking volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring for adults who need assistance with reading and comprehension.

THE FRIENDS SUPPORT THE LIBRARY: • Through fundraising & advocacy

Make a difference in someone’s life – become a Project READ volunteer

• By working to raise public awareness of the Library as an educational institution

Please contact Wynnette Curtis, Project Read Coordinator wcurtis@wicomico.org 410-749-3612 x159
