MATANUSKA-SUSITNA BOROUGH OCTOBER 1, 2013, REGULAR ELECTION ABSENTEE VOTING

REMEMBER TO VOTE! Beginning January 1 of each calendar year, registered voters of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough may apply for an absentee ballot by submitting a completed Absentee By-Mail Ballot Application to the Borough Clerk's Office. The deadline for submitting a ballot application for the October 1, 2013, regular election is September 24, 2013. Absentee By-Mail Ballot Applications are available online at www.matsugov.us/election or contact the Borough Clerk’s Office at 745-9683 to request a copy. Absentee In-Person voting will begin on Monday, September 16, 2013, and continue through Election Day, Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at designated areas throughout the Borough. The Planning Team meetings scheduled are: (Planning teams consist of Planning staff and members of the public who are appointed by the Planning Commission to work on community comprehensive plans and special land use districts, and community planning meetings.)

COTTONWOOD LAKE, FINGER LAKE, and WASILLA LAKE NO WAKE AND 5 MPH SPEED LIMIT WITHIN 100 FEET OF SHORE and within areas marked by buoys. Motors must have noise mufflers. Personal watercraft such as jet skis, wave runners, etc. may be operated between 8:00 a.m. & 11:00 p.m. ONLY. Organized events such as races require permits. OBSERVE ALL U.S. COAST GUARD RULES

PLEASE, DO NOT DISTURB WILDLIFE

Between 11:00 P.M. AND 8:00 A.M. entire lake is a NO WAKE ZONE. 5 mph speed limit, noisy motorized uses and personal watercraft such as jet skis, waver runners, etc. are prohibited.
