Help the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Update the All-Hazards Mitigation Plan! The current Borough All-Hazards Mitigation Plan is nearing the end of the 5-year planning cycle and we need your help to update the plan. Hazard mitigation is sustained action taken to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to people and their property from hazards. The planning team wants to ensure that this plan is comprehensive. The update process will require the review and revision of the following plan elements: • Identification and description of hazards that may impact borough residents • Vulnerability assessment • Assessment of the Borough’s capability to mitigate hazards • Hazard mitigation goals and objectives • Hazard mitigation actions and projects • Implementation strategy • Plan maintenance strategy For more information on the All-Hazards Mitigation Plan Update, please visit the Planning Departments Project Page at: . The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB), Land Management Division, has received a request from Central Alaska Energy, LLC, to place a pipeline(s) and necessary structures in the MSB surveyed utility corridor, from the ship dock to the tank farm leasehold (MSB006551) to facilitate fuel products transportation. The proposed pipeline easement area is 15 feet wide along the south and west of the utility corridor as displayed with final placement determined by stamped engineer drawings. Township 14 North, Range 04 West, Sections 25, 26, and 36, Seward Meridian. Primary activity is to be fu el transportation. Supporting material is available for public inspection during normal business hours on the 2nd floor of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough building in the Land Management Division.
