The offices are located in two commercial units at the rear of the Masonic Hall and feature accommodation for the office staff with associated storage, a small meeting room and an office for the use of Senior Officers, particularly the Provincial Almoner. The Chairman of Castle Grove Company, W Bro Richard Bentley, in welcoming the Province, said he hoped that this would mark the start of a long association between the two. The Provincial office returned to Leeds at the beginning of 2016 after an absence of 26 years, during which time it was situated in Bradford. It is some 113 years since the Provincial office moved into premises at Great George Street, Leeds, prior to that they were located in Park Place, Leeds. Referring to the long association of the Province with Leeds, the RW Provincial Grand Master said: “I am delighted the Province has returned to Leeds where it has been located for most of its life, and particularly

at such a nice location and with excellent facilities”. RW Bro Pratt, at the official opening, paid tribute to all those who had worked so hard to ensure the success of the move from Spring Bank Place, in particular the office staff, who had withstood the worst of the upheaval. He also referred to the contribution by the Directors of Castle Grove Masonic Hall Co Ltd, saying that their professional and co-operative approach in securing the tenancy was a significant factor in Province’s decision to move there.
