MEET THE PLAYERS INTRODUCING OUR SQUAD FOR THE 2019-20 SEASON
Adam Bartlett
1 Goalkeeper
Barts was the first signing of the summer. One of the best ‘keepers in non-league, he previously played for York City, Darlington, Gateshead and also Hereford United.
Matthew Grieve
5 Defender
Matty is another former NUFC Academy player. He is solid at the back and is now into his second season with the club after signing from Newcastle Benfield.
Stephen Little
9 Defender
Stephen also arrived from Consett last season and has experience in abundance. The centre-back was also formerly of West Allotment, Bedlington and Blyth AFC.
12 WHICKHAM v THORNABY
Ryan Lumsden
2 Goalkeeper
Ryan also arrived in the summer and the young shot-stopper is an exciting player, who will provide competition after signing from Gateshead.
Sam Hedley
6 Defender
Sam is another player, who can play anywhere across the back line and always does an excellent job. One of the longest serving players at the club now.
Dale Burrell
10 Midfielder
A playmaker in the middle of the park, Dale is in his second season with the club. He enjoys the ball at his feet and also chips in with goals at crucial times.
Kieran Galbraith
3 Defender
One of the best defender’s in the league, Kieran arrived from Bishop Auckland in the summer. He is a leader at the back and is excellent in the air and on the ground.
Tom Howard
Lewis also signed from Bishop Auckland this summer. He can play in defence or just in front of the back line and is a great addition to the squad.
Clark Kay
7 Defender
Tom is a former Sunderland youngster and has proved to be an excellent addition. The full-back can get forward with pace, but is also fantastic defensively.
Chad Collins
11 Midfielder
Lewis Gibbons
4 Defender
8 Defender
Clark arrived from Consett last season and is a modernday full-back. He enjoys getting forward at every opportunity, but is also solid in defence.
Conor Newton
Chad signed back with the club in the summer and has shown quality from the start. He is another player, who is always among the goals scoring or creating them.
12 Midfielder
Conor is a very experienced midfielder, who was previously with Hartlepool United. He brings a level head and quality into the Whickham midfield.
