Naper Settlement 2018 June Events and Programs Victorian Spa Overnight Friday, June 1, 7:30 PM through Saturday, June 2, 8:30 AM Brownies (Grade 3) & Juniors (Grades 4 to 5) Have luxurious fun while you try different methods that ladies used in the 1800s to bring out their natural beauty! This overnight adventure for Girl Scouts includes a visit to the Martin Mitchell Mansion, a nighttime snack, and continental breakfast. Bring your overnight gear and get ready to make lotions and potions to pamper yourself, earning a Naper Settlement patch! The overnight is $45 per Scout and $18 per adult. There is a requirement of 1 adult per 4 Scouts maximum. Naperville residents do not receive free admission to this program. Tosi Architecture Tour Sunday, June 3 • 1-4 PM Join us for our popular annual program and tour houses from the FOX VALLEY MAGAZINE / June 2018

1950s to ‘80s designed by suburban home builder Don A. Tosi. The afternoon begins at Naper Settlement with a presentation on Tosi and his architecture, followed by a guided trolley tour of Tosi homes with a Mid-Century Modern flavor in area neighborhoods. Recommended for ages 13 and up. The tour is $30 per person. Reservations are required. Tyrus, a PBS Documentary Film Sunday, June 3 • 4-6:30 PM Free courtesy of AARP Illinois Tyrus (2017) is an American Masters PBS documentary film funded with major support from AARP. Until his death at the age of 106, Tyrus Wong (1910-2016) was America’s oldest living Chinese American artist and one of the last remaining artists from the golden age of Disney animation.
