Notes: Div 1. This is the final round of the round robin for Div one and there weren’t any surprises. Manawatu was well clear at the top of the ladder with Waikato Canterbury and Ashburton close together but well clear of Hutt Valley. At the Bottom of the table Auckland & Eastern Force were equal with Eastern force Having to shoot the relegation match on finals night because they lost their match against Auckland in the first round. Manawatu showed they were vunerable again this week going down to a very good effort from Waikato which inluded five 200's. This was a double header for Manawatu so they still got some good points by downing bottom of the table Eastern Force with a clean sweep. Ashburton almost had a clean sweep against Hutt Valley but lost the open by 14 inners. Hutt Valley scored six 100's in their singles so deserved the narrow win. Brian would have been pleased with 5005 total though. The A team would have been biting their nails after their poor effort against Canterbury only picking up a bonus point and looking like a candidate for the relegation match. Canterbury had a solid shoot though and their juniors put up another top score of 593. Div 2. Alpine West contiued their good form taking the honours in a close contest with Wellington to share the top of the ladder with them. Otago bounced back from their drubbing by Wellington last time to get their own clean sweep against Taranaki plus 4 bonus points. With one round to go it is still wide open. Div 3. Wanganui got their first win this year over Southland putting them in the hunt for a place in the final Marlborough had a clean sweep against neighbours Nelson although it was close, only 2 points in the juniors and 4 in the composite. Leon Grieble shot the only 100.10 of the night. Not bad for someone who is 170yrs old!!! There were five 300's all in division 1, Lindsay Arthur, Roy Herbison, Allison Archer, Greg Menzies and Chris Johnstone. Congratulations!!!! The draw for the Semi Finals will be out shortly.
