Declutter your kit, your note pads, your diary and your emails. Set aside one day between Christmas and New Year to clean out your kit bag, reorganise and label your storage containers. Later that day grab your laptop or phone and start unsubscribing from mailing lists you no longer have interest in, archive old emails and clear out the junk. Move all your calendar entries online, save the trees, and keep a clean, neat diary for 2023.
While you are moving your diary to an online calendar schedule in quarterly declutter sessions, so this time next year you won’t have nearly half as much decluttering to do!
“Organization isn’t about perfection. It’s about efficiency. Reducing stress and clutter, saving time and money, and improving your overall quality of life.” ~ Christina Scalise
Having a calendar for personal and one for work causes stress and confusion. You are constantly checking between two diaries to check your availability. Have just one calendar and choose one specific colour for personal activities.
According to studies it takes 66 days for a habit to become automatic, so by setting aside time each morning to check in on your business and completely the daily tasks, your admin will never become overwhelming. A great morning routine to introduce is to grab a morning coffee and your phone, open the Creative Freedom app, complete that days tasks and add any expenses, all from the dashboard, and by Wednesday 8th March (exactly 66 days after New Years Day) your habit will become routine and you’ll never look back!
Hi I am Cathrine, a wife and mum of two with a passion for hair. Since my mother is a hairdresser herself, I have pretty much grown up with hairdressing around me all the time Ever since I went to primary school, I’ve wanted to be a hairdresser and stylist. I remember bringing a comb and a spray bottle with water with me to school, so that I could style my friends' hair Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to try most things within the hairdressing profession. I was able to join my mother at work early on and got my first employment contract in 2001 as a cleaning helper in the salon and I’ve never looked back Working with hair and styling is so inspiring to me!
Quite early on I found out that bridal styling was really my great passion, so in recent years this has probably also been one of the things that I love the most about my job There’s always a lot more pressure and expectations involved in bridal styling but getting a bride ready for her big day gives me so much joy and getting good feedback from them afterwards is just incredible!
My passion for bridal styling has led me to taking classes and courses all over, and I have travelled to Russia, Germany, and England to take courses in different styles, as well as completing quite a few online courses It was through these online courses that I came across the Lisa Alger Academy. Lisa is super inspiring and taught me lots of useful tips and tricks and definitely made me a better stylist At the Lisa Alger Academy I have completed courses such as Four Elements, Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates and several other exciting courses. I always recommend anyone who wants to learn more about bridal styling to become a member and complete the courses!
Since February 2022 I decided to really challenge myself further. Following frequent requests from online followers I have started offering courses in bridal styling myself The courses have been popular, and the feedback has really blown me away, with several courses being held both in Norway and abroad, and upcoming courses already booked for 2023
In Norway, many choose romantic styles that look more natural, for example with light and airy curls that frame the face Both more formal styles and the semi-formal styles with cascades of curls are on trend here in Norway Most in demand this year are the lower knots or buns at the neck with twists and braids in different textures It’s important for me that the hairstyles look soft and natural, while at the same time they should really last the whole evening. Things to think about when choosing a hairstylist for your wedding. The first thing is to think about what kind of style you are looking for. Popular styles include romantic, classic, bohemian, or perhaps Hollywood glam You should also think about how the dress suits the hairstyle you want. If there are a lot of beautiful details on the back of the dress, for example, it’s a shame to hide them under your hair and it can b i h h h i h h d ails really stand out
Whether you’re dreaming of full Hollywood glam, a tight, perfect, and romantic bun, or a completely natural look with that little extra, I always recommend one or two trial sessions so that you are 100% sure about your choice of hairstyle. I often have trial sessions with brides who have envisioned a hairstyle, but when we try it out, we see that it doesn’t quite match the style of the dress or the bride herself, and the bride ends up choosing something completely different from what was originally intended. I’m always honest in my feedback when guiding a bride to find her perfect look.
If you are a bride-to-be, I always recommend searching online, for example on Instagram and Pinterest, looking for those images that really inspire you or show the style or look that you want. Create an album on your phone, where you collect all the photos of hair and make-up that you like, so it's easy to go back later and look at them When you arrive at your trial session appointment, we go through the photos together and find out what styles and looks you not only like, but that will suit your dress, hair type, face shape and skin type.
If a bride wants something that won’t work with her hair or face shape, I try to guide her to find something that we are both happy with.
Ultimately, I don't do anything that the bride doesn’t love and that I can't be proud of afterwards – that’s the goal anyway!

Although Valentines Day is still the most popular and romantic day to pop the question, around 37% of all engagements happen on this day. It would seem that Christmas is fast becoming the number one time of the year to get engaged. The Christmas period, between Christmas Eve and New Years Day, has seen the highest number of proposals in the whole year in recent times. It makes sense when you think about it, couples are with family and friends and can celebrate their happiness together Is your
