hen most people hear ‘December’ the first things that come to mind are Christmas and New Year’s Eve. This month, I challenge you to bring your A-game when it comes to the spirit of Christmas. To help get you in the mood, this issue features some amazing people, places, and ideas to set the Christmas spirit. Dennis Bayhi and Dennis Bayhi Jr. of Green Acres Nursery in Thibodaux grace our front cover this month. THIBODAUX’S GREENEST SPACES DENNIS BAYHI’S GREEN ACRES NURSERY W R I T T E N B Y | T Y L E R MA R T I N E Z

B

ayhi’s Green Acres Nursery is a household name in Thibodaux and Houma around the holidays. There is no place more prepared to fill the community with holiday cheer each year. The Christmas trees and home decorations that Green Acres curates are always top quality, and their large selection is never disappointing. The nursery sells fresh flowers and elegant decor year-round, but the store, owned and operated by Dennis Bayhi, really shines at Christmas time.

GROWING GREEN ACRES Dennis Bayhi opened the first Bayhi’s Green Acres Nursery in 1974 in Baton Rouge. His brother, George Bayhi, encouraged Dennis to open an indoor nursery after visiting California while in officer school for the military. California was full of indoor nurseries that kept their committed fresh and green. George couldn’t open the nursery himself because his career as an attorney kept him busy, but Dennis thought that the business model could be successful in Louisiana. They opened the first Green Acres as partners, and expanded quickly in the Baton Rouge market. At his busiest, Dennis owned two nurseries and a florist shop in Baton Rouge. The three stores were eventually consolidated back into one, to keep all of their projects in one location, and their first store closed in 1979 when the building they were renting was leased to another business. Around the same time, Dennis spoke with a friend of his from Thibodaux who mentioned to Dennis that, “a place like [Green Acres Nursery] would go over great in Thibodaux.” Dennis opened Green Acres Nursery on Cardinal Drive in Thibodaux in May of 1980, and he has operated there ever since. Overall, Dennis has spent 42 years caring for plants, landscaping, curating seasonal decor, and picking perfect Christmas trees.

CHRISTMAS AT GREEN ACRES Christmas is an exciting time of year in Thibodaux and Houma, and Dennis is a deliverer of Christmas spirit. Green Acres carries an extensive selection of Christmas decorations and Christmas trees for their loyal customers. Dennis and his team begin preparing in August each year and remain busy selling decor and trees until Christmas. All of the trees that Dennis sells at Green Acres come from a farm in North Carolina. itself on. All of the trees are kept watered and out of the sun until they are sold. It is important to maintain a tree with regular watering and proper placement in the house. It isn’t wise to place a tree near a fireplace or A/C vent if it is meant to last. Some customers can preserve their trees through the spring, redecorating for Mardi Gras and Easter. Eighty percent of the trees that Green Acres sells are delivered to homes. Some of Green Acres’ most loyal customers tell Dennis, “I’m leaving the door open, just come on in,” to deliver their Christmas tree and place it in the perfect spot. Dennis leaves homes with stunning trees each year for the family to admire. Green Acres also produces impressive displays for establishments such as Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Oak Alley Plantation, and St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, sometimes using trees as tall as fourteen feet. Every year, designers Connie Barbera and Patrick Ledet decorate several homes from the front door to the back patio, and everywhere in between. The team creates festive pieces for the

table or over the fireplace, and they deck the Christmas tree in beautiful custom decor. Dennis is proud that Green Acres Nursery is most well known for their selection of products and services offered during the holiday season. They offer custom decor for the entire home, and are committed to spreading holiday cheer in Thibodaux.

GREEN ACRES IN FULL BLOOM While Christmas is the busiest time of the year for Green Acres Nursery, they offer a variety of products and services for the Thibodaux and Houma area throughout the year. Connie Barbera is hard at work year round, creating intricate floral arrangements for every season and holiday. They carry a stock of fresh, seasonal flowers for home gardening, along with a stock of gardening supplies, and the staff is eager to give customers home gardening advice.


Green Acres also offers landscaping and lawn maintenance services. Dennis and his crew, son Dennis Michael Bayhi, John Esteve, Patrick Ledet, Carl Ledet, and Marve Duet travel around to homes and businesses to transform outdoor spaces into beautiful and functional green spaces. They also offer commercial and residential lawn maintenance services to keep existing landscaping in pristine condition all year long. Green Acres Nursery began as a simple idea in the minds of two brothers. Dennis and his team have been dedicated to keeping Thibodaux and Houma beautiful and green for the past forty-two years. SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER RESTORATION CHRISTMAS W RI T T E N B Y | C E L E S T E R O B E R T S

A

s the temperature drops and retailers blare Christmas tunes on repeat, most of us will be scrambling around town to buy the perfect gifts for our loved ones. The holidays are meant to imbue our hearts with peace and tranquility, but the stress of shopping, cooking, organizing family gatherings, and coordinating with Santa Claus can prevent us from slowing down and enjoying the joy and beauty of the season. With the help of the Houma Downtown Development Corporation, Jonathan Foret intends to remind residents and visitors of Terrebonne Parish to stop and celebrate the magic of winter with Restoration Christmas. Jonathan, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, is no stranger to advocating important causes: he is the Executive Director of the Wetlands Discovery Center, which works to educate students and adults on the challenges we face as a coastal

community due to land loss and the potential solutions available to enable us to continue living here in southern Louisiana. He first became involved with Restoration Christmas when he asked Houma’s Main Street Manager, Anne Picou, if he could help to decorate the Christmas tree on the Terrebonne Parish Courthouse steps three years ago. “When she showed me the storage area where all the Christmas supplies were housed, I saw all the decorations from years past that were in need of repair,” he explains. “Seeing them brought back so many memories of when I was a kid with my parents driving through downtown Houma. Lots of the decorations just needed new bulbs. I really wanted the kids of our parish to be able to grow up and have similar fond memories, and that’s where it started.” For the last three years, Jonathan and a team of volunteers have been working diligently to repair old WHA TNOW M A G.com

decorations while learning handy work. “The first year we started fixing the decorations, it was Anne Picou and I that worked on them with some support from the employees in the Building Maintenance Division of Terrebonne Parish,” he recalls. “I really didn’t have much knowledge on electrical wiring, and those parish employees taught me what I needed to know to make sure each bulb shined bright! Each year, we work to refurbish a new set of decorations. Last year, I only had time to fix the reindeer that were put on the street poles on Grand Caillou, but this year our team of volunteers has quadrupled! It’s been nice making new friends while working for a great cause.” Since Restoration Christmas’ inception, the Houma Downtown Development Corporation has purchased new decorations for 2016, and they are planning a Christmas Festival under the leadership of board member Shelly Ronquillo. However, old decorations are still in line for repairs.

The process for repairing the older decorations is tedious and involves some technical skills. “We first have to cut off all of the old wires since most of them are dry rotted,” Jonathan explains. “Many of the light fixtures crumble in your hands when you touch them. After we take the wires off, we spray paint the metal armature to make it bright and clean once again. Then we rewire the whole thing, which is where a bit of electrical knowledge comes into play. We have to splice a lot of the wiring and add the plug to power it. Finally—and it’s my favorite part—we put new bulbs on the decorations. It’s a great feeling to plug in the refurbished decorations and see them glow bright. We give them a new life, and we know that they will brighten the lives of our community and the people who visit Terrebonne Parish.” Restoration Christmas also allows the community to come together and build relationships. “The primary mission of Restoration Christmas is to make

sure that all the Christmas decorations that are in storage get a chance to shine one more time so that our community can enjoy them for the holiday season. A by-product of that mission is to bring our community together in a way that makes us all stronger and proud to live in Terrebonne Parish,” Jonathan says. “This has always been important to Anne Picou, and I’m very happy to help her achieve this mission. We all have bad days. Life is rarely easy. If seeing those lights makes people feel good inside during a tough day, it was all worth it.”

The Houma Downtown Development Corporation has added a Christmas Festival for Saturday, December 3, from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM to raise money to continue to restore decorations. A Christmas parade will pass from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, and children can visit Santa Claus in the Courthouse Square from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Terrebonne Parish is a very special place, and we all deserve to have beautiful decorations lining our streets for the holiday season. We live in an area that is constantly changing, and I think seeing those lights that we’ve seen since we were kids gives us a feeling of stability, solidarity, and strength. I hope the children living in Terrebonne Parish grow up and have wonderful memories of what Christmas is like in their community and work hard to keep it that way for future generations.” WN

02 A VISIT TO SANTA’S LAND

Thibodaux Service League invites you to visit the Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 for A Visit to Santa’s Land. “A Visit to Santa’s Land is a Christmas event featuring kids crafts, activities, and pictures with Santa,” said Ashley Becnel, the President of the Thibodaux Service League. On Friday, December 2 there will be a Special Needs Children VIP Event from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM. On Saturday, December3, there will be a morning session from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM with a VIP session beginning at 8:00 AM. The afternoon session is from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM with a VIP session beginning at 12:30 PM. “I am looking forward to seeing the children’s faces when they see Santa and seeing the excitement in their eyes as they play in our Winter Wonderland of snow,” said Ashley. “We wanted something fun for children and adults at Christmas. Our annual Visit to Santa’s Land has become a tradition for generations of kids in Thibodaux and the surrounding areas.” The Friday night event and Saturday VIP tickets cost $20.00 each. All proceeds go right back into our community helping families in need, providing scholarships, assisting the toy drive, and more!” Reindeer Rowe tickets are $5.00 at the door or free with a Santa’s Land ticket. “We will also raffle off a Golf Cart valued at $5,000.00 at Reindeer Rowe. BREAKFAST WITH SANTA

The Kiwanis Club of Houma Foundation will be sponsoring Breakfast with Santa this year on Saturday, December 10 from 7:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the Vandebilt Catholic High School Cafeteria in Houma. “This event is a pancake breakfast where children can participate in children’s activities,” said Jennifer White, Chair of the Pancake Breakfast. “Children may also take photos with Santa for $5.00 or purchase oversized coloring books for $8.00.” Jennifer looks forward to seeing the happy faces of the children as they arrive at the breakfast. “They are excited the entire time they are here; whether it is doing some sort of activity, listening to story time, or sitting on Santa’s lap and telling him what they want for Christmas. It is a fun-filled morning for everyone in the family!” Funds raised from this event will in turn be given back to the community through the various community service projects that The Kiwanis Club of Houma Foundation hosts. A FRESH START FOR A PIECE OF HISTORY

MEET HEIDI HYNES, THE NEW INNKEEPER OF THE DANSEREAU HOUSE WRIT T EN BY | TYLER MA RT I N EZ

T

hibodaux is home to an iconic Louisiana downtown, and in the center of it all stands the Dansereau House. This five-story home wasn’t always the grand beauty it is today. The house was built in 1874 as a one-story building with a central hall plan. The original owner, James Scuddy, purchased the land from the founder of the city of Thibodaux, Henry Schyler Thibodaux. In 1852, Scuddy’s widow sold the house to Francois Philip Dansereau, who relocated to Thibodaux from Canada. The house remained a single story until after the Civil War, when the Dansereau Family commissioned Henri Thiberg to design the five-story masterpiece that it is today. Two upper floors, a two-tiered gallery, an attic, and the famous cupola were all added to the house. The head of household, Francois Dansereau, was a doctor of high esteem in Thibodaux. Members of the Dansereau Family practiced medicine in the house until the early 1940s. Jane Naquin recalls going to Dr. Dansereau’s office as a child. Horse and buggy would carry patients into the home and drop them into the adjoining rooms for treatment. It is reported that the first cataract surgery in the United States was preformed at the house. The house was purchased by Mr. V.L. Caldwell and his family in 1947. They renovated the house and initiated the process of having it listed on the National Historic Register in 1978. The Caldwell family lived there until their passing, and the house is still sometimes called the Caldwell house because of their lengthy residence. The Dansereau House was purchased in 1999 by a group of investors who transformed it into “The Dansereau House Restaurant and Inn.” The group brought the house to new life, hosting weddings and parties in the historic atmosphere of downtown Thibodaux. It was sold again in 2003, and the local businessman who owned it renovated the third floor into the palatial suite. The house was a single-family residence until 2009, when the current owner, Damon Baldone, purchased it in an auction and opened it to the public again as a Bed and Breakfast.

MEET THE NEW INNKEEPER Heidi Hynes is the newest innkeeper at the Dansereau House, and she is excited to welcome locals and guests into the space. Heidi is a New Orleans native with a colorful background that is sure to inspire some creativity in how she manages the Bed and Breakfast. WHA TNOW M A G.com

Heidi got a taste of the Hospitality industry at a Bed and Breakfast in Martha’s Vineyard, an island located south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Heidi and some friends hitchhiked across the country to Martha’s Vineyard from Baton Rouge. When they arrived, they realized that they had no place to stay and nothing to eat. Heidi noticed a small Bed and Breakfast with a nice croquet lawn that was in a general state of disrepair. She asked the innkeepers if she and her friends could clean the croquet lawn in exchange for a room for the night. They were thrilled to have someone to clean the croquet lawn and agreed to let them stay. The next morning, during breakfast, the innkeepers, taken with Heidi’s personality, offered her a job, and she accepted. Heidi enjoyed the intimate Bed and Breakfast environment. She says, “I enjoy helping people have a nice time during their vacations or business trips.” She did eventually leave Martha’s Vineyard and, after extensive world traveling, found her way back to New Orleans. She has traveled across the United States, and raced sailboats around the world. Heidi was living in Mandeville, Louisiana when she saw an ad for an innkeeper position at the Dansereau House. She came to Thibodaux, met with Damon Baldone, and was blown away by the beauty of the house and it’s surroundings. Overall, Heidi describes Thibodaux as a welcoming, accepting, and kind place. She has big plans for the future of the Dansereau House as an icon of Thibodaux life and culture.

EVENTS AT THE DANSEREAU HOUSE In addition to hosting guests from around the globe, the Dansereau house is open for events throughout the year. Each Thursday they host The Drinkery, with live music on the porch. The bar opens and the staff offers creative drink specials and small plates. Heidi enjoys meeting the residents of Thibodaux during The Drinkery hours. The space is also available for weddings, bridal events, and business meetings; every event hosted there absorbs some of the sense of wonder that the house holds. This year, the Dansereau House is hosting Teddy Bear Tea, an event for children to meet Santa Clause on the lawn of the Dansereau House. Santa will tell stories, take pictures with children, and each child will receive a teddy bear to take home. There will be snow on the lawn of the Dansereau House, along with lots of Christmas magic. Teddy Bear Tea will be held on December 10 and 11. Make reservations soon, because the spots are filling up quickly. Guests will be seated in groups, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Admission is forty dollars a person. Email Cheryl Breaud at cbreaud@aol.com for more information. SILVER SCREEN A REVIEW OF 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE

What is it about some bad movies that make it difficult to look away? It’s like they are so close to being WRITTEN BY | DR. TODD KENNEDY good that you just can’t give up hope even when other things clearly show the movie is going to either way everyone else is dead and the air miss. Dan Trachtenberg’s 10 Cloverfield is toxic. And to make it more convincing, Lane (2016) is just such a film. The film Emmitt has some reason to believe Howard opens with Michelle, a young New Orleans (though some reason to doubt as well). The fashion designer (played by a very flat Mary film proceeds to play out like a ping-pong Elizabeth Winsteadt), taking to the road to match of evidence. Howard is definitely a get away from her ex-boyfriend. Yet, the movie would be worth watching if only for Goodman and Gallegher’s performances. And that isn’t even giving credit for the hour plus’s worth of entertainment the movie clearly offers. But the ending is unforgivable. Hollywood misses in this genre far more than it hits. E

ating food that’s both healthy and tastes good seems too good to be true for most people. Making this food for yourself is generally even more elusive a feat. However, to Jason Flores and Michael Williams, it’s perfectly within grasp. With the combination of a relaxed atmosphere and the satisfaction of the palate, this fine dining taste and presentation is giving everyone the opportunity to learn how to eat healthy and cook well. Additionally, this fitness professional and innovative chef are empowering their patrons to make these dishes in their very own kitchens. Jason Flores was a teacher from the start. As a certified personal trainer, he harbors a passion for helping people reach their fitness goals. A large part of accomplishing this is related to diet. Jason is more than familiar with being confronted about diets and supplements by his clients. He believes that it’s easy to be misguided by the products and food promoted out there when one doesn’t know what he or she should be looking for. It was as he received these questions from those he trained that he realized how valuable it would be if he taught others how to make educated decisions about their eating habits. Then his serendipitous meeting with Michael came along, opening the doors to a unique and effective partnership, thus “redeFINEddining” was born. Michael wasn’t always in the business of presenting the public with great food. He started out in the entertainment industry and was a part of that world for five and a half years. Over time, he decided to “step away from the mic” and pursue the restaurant

business. In August of 2010 he took the chance of leaving everything he knew. He started from the bottom, deciding that if he could take up the lowliest of jobs in the industry and still enjoy his work, he’d know that this was the right path for him. Sure enough, Michael loved every aspect and plunged in, moving up the totem pole working both in mom and pop restaurants and in the fine dining atmosphere. With Michael’s cooking skills and knowledge of cuisine, and Jason’s business sense and understanding of fitness, the team set out to make their vision a reality: a culinary classroom based in Jason’s very own kitchen that serves up the unparalleled experience of good tasting, healthy food cooked by the chef himself. What’s more, it features an interactive course on how to create the food cooked during the meal on one’s own stovetop. A menu is created for the diners and they are being given the skills to recreate it, therefore benefiting their eating habits. However, it’s not just getting great food—it’s the journey. “They need to want to put on an apron and cook with us,” Jason says of the tactile involvement of the diners. He explains that many people are intimidated by the idea of cooking fine meals for themselves, but with the casual atmosphere he and Michael have created, this intimidation is removed so that the diners can discover what it’s like to have a hand in making high quality meals for themselves. But, how does this singular phenomena work? The setup and ability to pull off these dinners is essentially a “family affair.” Both Jason and Michael’s wives are invested in the business and deserve loads of credit for its success. Among the four of them, each aspect the individuals of the group bring to the table (no pun intended), helps to get the job done. Then, all that’s left are the dishes which everyone chips in on getting clean and ready for the next set of fortunate dinner guests. During the first couple of meals served at Jason’s home, the team discovered the details of this endeavor. As a businessman, Jason knew what it was to learn from trial and error and the experience has sculpted his and Michael’s hopes for their events. During the course of these early stages of the business, Jason and Michael want to present to the diners the truest, purest version of their vison. And where’s it going to go from here? Jason and Michael hope to broadcast on such platforms as Youtube and Facebook live. They believe that the dynamics between them would be a great premise for a unique cooking show with Michael as the chef and Jason able to quickly catch on to what he’s doing and bring the viewer along with them. Besides that, they have a lot of fun in the kitchen which is one of the most important aspects of the job. There are plenty of avenues for exposure out there and the team is game to test all of them out; open to whatever the future has in store. Still, no matter what the business evolves into, it all started with the desire to teach and Michael and Jason are off to a flying start. The second, third, and fourth bites don’t taste any better than the first so just take a taste of all of your favorites. Don’t eat seconds just to spare Maw Maw’s feelings. She’ll understand. ollowing one’s passions in today’s economy can be quite the challenge without careful planning and lots of hard work. There are so many businesses out there, that if you want yours to survive, you’ve got to be tough and wise. If you want your business to grow, it’s an even greater challenge that takes much more strategizing, hard work, and luck. So how is it that Sarah Foret has opened up not one, but two Chez Cake Bakeries? Not only are her successful entrepreneurship secrets revealed, but Sarah also has superwoman qualities that allowed her to achieve her dreams. Sarah Foret, the owner of Chez Cake Bakery, is quite the ambitious lady. In fact, she’d be considered an upright role model in all of today’s standards for all those other young entrepreneurs looking to get their business rolling. But Sarah’s journey, like most other entrepreneurs, took time to unfold. Her path wasn’t straight-forward or easy, but she was strong and persistent enough to make her dream a reality. Sarah is an intelligent, 54 year old woman who prides herself on being an independent, self-assured, and assertive woman. She was raised in a military family so she grew up living in many places, but she’s been living in the state of Louisiana for over 45 years so she considers it home. She has also been singing womens barbershop for 27 years. Her formal education, contrary to what you may think, is not in business or cooking, but actually education. So how did she get into owning multiple bakeries? Her love of baking began at home, when her mother would bake sweets for the holidays and

birthdays. Her grandfather was a baker by trade and when she went home to visit she would devil him until he baked bread with her in the kitchen. So with her passion starting early in life, she opened up her first bakery in October of 1985 in Lockport named “Sarah’s Cake Shop”. Although she sold it in 2001, it’s still there today. Since then, she’s opened three more bakeries. She opened Two Sisters Bakery in Boutte with her sister and then later opened Chez Cake Bakery, one in Houma and now a second location in Thibodaux. Sarah has one grown daughter who works at Nicholls State University, and helps the community by having recently become a certified foster parent. She absolutely loves helping children in that capacity. This kind-hearted, nurturing woman was set on being a

business owner at a young age because she began working when she was a young mother and wanted to be her own boss so that she could navigate working and being a mother at the same time. She was thinking long-term and planning for a career that would allow her flexibility and time for things she considered important, such as school functions and extended vacations. So essentially, she combined her ideal lifestyle and her passion and came up with the idea to open up a bakery. Her role in Chez Cake Bakery, which opened up in its new location this past September, is extremely extensive. It encompasses a myriad of strengths and habits, from smelling what’s in the oven and hollering back to the bakers to check the oven when she’s up


front with a customer to doing her best at keeping track of paper work. When she’s not taking care of the administrative side of the business, she’s in the kitchen working on that just perfect, one-ofa-kind cake that no one else has created to be the bakery’s signature. Although she claims she hasn’t found it yet, she claims the journey searching for it has been fun and tasty too! The best thing about Chez Cake Bakery is that it offers a variety of sweets. The bakery is known for many things but people have been indulging in their cakes the most for over 30 years now. Cannoli’s, gourmet cupcakes, as well as Maw Maw’s favorites like Pralines and Tartea La Bouie are other popular favorites. Customers can’t seem to get enough of its delicious treats. Here’s some advice Sarah has for would-be entrepreneurs who want to follow a similar path to success: One, “Know who you are...and be that person.” This means stand your ground and be willing to center your life around your budding business. Two, know what you’re getting into. Sarah states that the entrepreneur world is not for everyone, which explains why so many businesses come and go. Excited owners often underestimate what they’re signing up for, and aren’t fully prepared for all the work outside of doing their favorite thing in the business (like in her case, decorating cakes). Furthermore, Sarah says that food service in general is an exhausting field, and it takes a very strong-willed person to become an entrepreneur. Three, be passionate and relentless. One must be assertive, tough, and unwilling to take no for an answer. You will be out there competing with other businesses that will have a similar vision to yours, but it’s up to you to keep up with the competition and learn how to continue to fight for what you started. Sarah reports she is well on her way to future plans. She accomplished her goal of her new location, and ever since she has, it’s gotten progressively busier. She and everyone at the bakery are ecstatic about the reception they have received in Thibodaux! She says she’s not exactly sure what the future holds but Morgan City folks keep knocking at the door hoping they will open number 3 out their way! Sarah is grateful that her hard work has paid off and wants to share a message to her fellow customers: “Through our patrons’ loyalty and kindness, we are humbled. A LITTLE TASTE ALTAMURA: AN ITALIAN TRATTORIA

ello, What Now WRITTEN BY | G INGER GAUBERT readers! It’s hard to believe that 2016 is almost gone and that we will be ringing in 2017 in less than a month. We own a condo on Jackson Avenue in the Lower Italian restaurants Petronella knew from his Garden District, and imagine my childhood in New Jersey. mushrooms, and lemon. It was HUGE and cooked perfectly to my liking—I have to admit I chewed the meat off the bone! Delish! Even though, we were way beyond full, we ordered the Manhattanjack Scandalous Chocolate Layer Cake a la mode, and it was insanely scandalous and decadent! Altamura has a beautiful patio for al fresco drinking and dining. The restaurant is open for dinner Monday and Wednesday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Friday through Saturday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Happy hour begins at 4:00 PM, and Sunday brunch is from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. So, the next time that you are in NOLA and longing for some authentic Italian cuisine, try Altamura.
