YOUTH ACCESS Westside is a great place for youth. We offer a fun, welcoming environment for young people with our Youth Wellness Centre and fully equipped fitness spaces. There are scheduled times for shared use and for youth-only access (10Y–17Y) upon completion of a free orientation session. Learn more about our Youth Wellness Centre and Unparented Orientation on page 19 or call 403.531.5875.

Let the kids have some fun while you work out! Pre-booking is required for evening childcare after 5:30 PM and pre-booking for infants is recommended. Parents are required to remain inside the Westside building while using childcare.

Westside is home to two skating rinks — an NHL-sized hockey arena and the leisure ice arena designed for more casual fun. Bring your friends and family to enjoy inline skating from May through August, then lace up your blades for ice skating from September through March.

Westside’s outdoor skatepark offers modular elements and obstacles for those just starting out on a skateboard, and for lifelong skaters working to perfect their tricks. The skatepark is open during the warmer months, from May to September, and fully supervised during Westside’s operating hours.

The Youth Wellness Centre is your space to work out or take part in fitness programs. The pool, gyms, ice rinks, running track and skatepark offer additional recreation opportunities, depending on your interests. Be sure to stop by on Fridays for regular Youth Nights, too!
