PARK RENTALS

Parks are for Enjoyment!

Organized use requires authorization from Parks & Recreation

What’s an organized use?

• Sports

• Special Events

• Bounce Houses or Tents

• Parties or Picnics using park amenities

Do I need to rent a park for a basic picnic of 25 people? No, a group of 49 people or less will not require a park rental as long as there are no amenities requiring a rental. This includes but is not limited to bounce houses, tents or amplified sound. Otherwise you can just show up & use any available area, provided it has not been rented by another party.

How can I verify if a park is available for rent?

Call the Parks & Recreation Department at 916-617-4620 to see if the park/picnic area you want is available for rental.

What is the park rental process?

All rentals require a minimum 30 days notice. Turn in a completed Park Rental Application to the Parks & Recreation Department. In certain circumstances, a Special Event (SE) Notification or SE Permit may be required. Both forms can be downloaded from the city’s website or picked up at the Community Center or Recreation Center.
