ou may think that we don’t have any fun here at Westone. It’s just not true. Every summer, on the last Friday of the month, the owners and executives of the company do a BBQ lunch for all the employees. So we thought we would give you a couple of the world famous recipes that our world famous Supply Business Manager, Ed Lockwood, has allowed us to share with you.
Westone on the road September 30 – October 3 Colorado Academy of Audiology Breckenridge, CO
6-8 Brats or Italian Sausages 5 Cloves of Garlic, minced 1 White Onion, sliced thin (more if you like) 1 Tbsp Olive Oil 4 Bottles of Cave Creek Chile Beer (If unavailable use any beer and add 4 Serrano chilies) 1 cup Soy Sauce 2 Tbsp Dark Brown Sugar 1 Tbsp Red Chile Powder In a deep sauté pan, brown the garlic in the oil, add onion and sauté until soft. Pour in all other ingredients, except the sausage, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and place pan on grill over low heat, or on side burner near the grill.
Grill sausages until done then add them to mixture and soak for 15 minutes or more. Grab a bun and ENJOY!
Ed’s Famous Baked Beans 1lb ground beef browned and drained 1/3 cup brown sugar 4-5 slices of bacon 1/2 cup ketchup 1/4 tsp dry mustard 1 onion chopped 1 large can B&M baked style beans (20 oz) 1 Tbsp vinegar 1 can Western Style beans w/ juice (14 oz) this is a Chile style bean, Lima beans can also be used. 1 can kidney beans w/juice Combine all ingredients and cook @350 for 2 hours. Grab a big ‘ol bowl and ENJOY!
