■■ This is my first Elizabethan Club Report as Chairman of the Club – a position to which I was elected last year. Traditionally, the Chairman would use this spot to publish his annual report but meeting timings and long lead-times on this magazine can mean that this is out-of-date by the time it is read. I hope instead to give you an idea of my plans and inspire you to get involved with OW events and activities if you have not done so recently (or ever!). The Club is here for you so if you do not see an event you want to attend or a sports club you want to join let me know on abasirov@sdcglobal.net and we’ll look to try and make it happen.
