The Box Office is open from 10am - 4.30pm from Monday to Saturday (closed lunchtime 12.30pm – 1.30pm) and 1 hour before performances.

PAYMENTS

We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express. Cheques should be made payable to ‘West Cliff Theatre’. Bookings should be paid for within five working days.

BOOKING FEE

A booking fee of £1 will apply on all ticket sales and reservations made online, over the phone or in person, whether paying by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. Prices that are displayed in this brochure include this fee. For more information about why we need to charge this fee visit www.westcliffclacton. co.uk/booking-fee-information or speak to a member of our box office.

POST West Cliff Theatre, Tower Road, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex CO15 1LE OR IN PERSON

RESALE

All Tickets sold are non-refundable, unless a show is cancelled in advance. We will try to resell tickets that cannot be used, however this will only be possible in the event that we are sold out.

CHILDREN & BABES IN ARMS

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For certain shows, babies and children under 18 months are welcome free of charge and may share a seat with you. For some performances, we regret children under 18 months are not admitted to the auditorium.

WHEELCHAIR SPACES

Please inform the box office if you are using a wheelchair or electric scooter. Scooters take up more space than a standard wheelchair so it is vital we know this when booking out the spaces.

PHOTOGRAPHY & RECORDING DEVICES

The use of photography, mobile and recording equipment is strictly prohibited in the auditorium.

SECURITY & ALCOHOL

In the interest of security we reserve the right to search your bags. Please note: only alcohol purchased in the theatre bar can be consumed in the auditorium. Please ask a member of the bar staff for a plastic tumbler.

And with that in mind hopefully there is something for every taste in our line-up for the coming year. We have returning favourites, plenty for the young at heart as well as some nostalgic treats for the slightly older at heart. And I’m delighted that we will be welcoming Dom Joly for his first ever visit to our wonderful theatre. And not forgetting our local talent – CADS, CMTS and our very own Youth group – which is what makes the West Cliff such a special place. WITH JAN HUNT AND DON MACLEAN

Message from the Manager So here we are, the Spring brochure for 2020. Last year we celebrated 125 years of Summer variety and that word ‘variety’ is so important. I want the West Cliff to be The Home Of Variety.

So please keep banging that drum about this fabulous theatre. Keep coming and supporting us and if you have the time, we are always looking for new members to join our ‘Friends’ as well as our happy band of voluntary staff.

Rob M-G Rob Mitchell-Gears

COMING IN SUMMER 2020… Menopause The Musical 2 Steve Hewlett Twist and Shout Jim Davidson Big Girls Don’t Cry Joe Pasquale And of course The Summer Show And so much more….

DISCLAIMER – The information in this brochure is correct at the time of going to press. We reserve the right to make alterations to the programme if necessary.
