BERLIOZ Symphonie fantastique 4th Mvt: March au supplice (March to the Scaffold) 5th Mvt: Songe d’une nuit du sabbat (Dream to a Witches Sabbath) RAVEL Piano Concerto in G major In the second year of the 2016 – 2018 School Curriculum and Standards Authority Music ATAR Designated Works List, WASO will perform works from the compulsory areas of Symphony and Concerto. The concert will include discussion of historical and cultural perspectives, with performance and analysis of key compositional concepts. This concert has consistently sold out, so in 2017 we are introducing a second performance after school hours. Each performance will feature one of Perth’s most talented young & emerging artists performing the piano concerto. Pre-concert recordings and supporting resource notes will be provided.


$12 per student

Recommended Supervision: 1:10 (1 teacher free per 10 students)

$12 subsequent teacher/supervisor tickets (maximum 6 tickets)

MUSICAL MOVES TRANSPORT SUBSIDY WASO is committed to helping teachers provide their students with live performing arts experiences and has a bus sponsorship initiative, Musical Moves. Schools wishing to apply for financial support to cover transportation costs to attend WASO concerts should download the application form and apply in writing to Fiona Taylor-Hokin, Education Coordinator on APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED USING THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

Schools must be no more than 100 kilometres from the Perth CBD. Applicants should identify how attendance will support access to, and delivery of music as part of the curriculum. Schools must provide two transportation quotes. Download an application form at
