Bird watchers and others interested in the bird life of the West Coast National Park (WCNP), have time until 14 February to enter for the annual Wader Bash of the West Coast Region’s Sanparks honorary rangers (HRs). The Honorary Rangers Sasol Stretton’s Wader Bash is held from February 21 to 23, in con junction with BirdLife SA and is in aid of birding projects in the WCNP. Teams go out and identify as many bird species possible within a 24hour period. It starts on the Friday at 17:45 and finishes on the Saturday at 17:45.
