Week Three

Reading: Kolerevic B. 2003. Architecture in the Digital Age

Kolerevic described three fundamental type of fabrication techniques in the reading. Outline the three techniques and discuss the potential of Computer Numeric Controlled fabrication with parametric modelling. (150 words max)

1.Subtractive 2.additive 3.formative. The potentials are: creating accurate models and mass production.

Week Three

Surface Creation

I tried making my own geometries as well as weaverbird, then I decided on geometries that would create checkered light and shades.

Week Four Panels & Waffle

Two 3D panels provide shades through out the day, covering different areas. Five opennings on each geometry create checkered light and shades.

Wide openings and inner space work as a gathering place.
