Walking distance from both Mongkok and Ya Ma Tei MTR. According to our friend from HK, the queues are impossible because a lot of tourists queue there from early on; be prepared to take a number and wander around Mongkok while you wait your turn. Mon-Sat: 08:00-17:30; Sun: Closed; Lots of office crowd during lunch time, try to avoid lunch hours Monday to Sunday: 06:00-23:00 (tried sister company, Lin Heung Kui instead) Open from 12pm to 1230 am daily

Near a portion of the Mid Levels Escalator. Operating Hours: Monday to Saturday – 7am to 6pm. Also spotted one at the Sheung Wan Ferry Terminal with a long queue outside, but unsure if it's a branch. Take the Bus No. 33 to Rua da Cunha and walk backwards till you see a well-lit street selling lots of souvenirs. The first shop facing you will be Mok Yi Kei. Back alley near Hotel Sintra - if Hotel Sintra's entrance is on your left, go straight and cross the road to the corner Luk Fook opposite, a few shops after that, you should see a sign saying Margaret's pointing you left into a back alley; opens 8am, closed on Wednesday. If that fails, just pop into any hotel and ask for Margaret's, they should know :) You have to walk into the market, take a lift to second floor, in order to reach a food court-like area

However, try to eat the egg tarts fresh as we were too full for dinner and packed them for breakfast next morning - they weren't as tasty anymore :(

Apparently also a nice bakery next to Lord Stow's in Coloane called Fai Kee Bakery. If you go to the Lord Stow's in The Venetian's Grand Canal Shoppes instead, follow the red track on the floor. It's a pretty long walk. Don't wait around when you get there and immediately buy as tourists are prone to buy up the whole lot of egg tarts, leaving none for you (as we experienced)

Only open 6-10pm; Closed on Wednesdays. Small family-run restaurant that supposedly serves amazing Macanese food. Try to go early. It's in a small alley near Rua da Cunha, but it's recommended you get to Mok Yi Kei and ask for directions. The lady owner was really friendly and even directed us there, but we were too late as the place was full and had taken last orders.

Walking distance from Harbour City About 10-15 minutes walk to the harbour from Kowloon MTR station. Go early if you'd like to secure a spot as it was crowded with tourists. Get to the Peak Tram Station from Central MTR. Advisable to take a cab if you are with little children/elderlies as the walk from the station is uphill and steep, and takes about 10-15 mins. There's a package for HKD 210 you can purchase which includes a two-way tram ride to The Peak, entrance to Madame Tussaud's and one time access to the Sky Terrace (viewing deck of the fabulous view). Refer to Madame Tussaud's.

Take the MTR to Admiralty MTR Station and exit to find the Ocean Park ticketing counter. You may buy Ocean Park tickets there and board the direct Citybus Route 629 which runs daily from Admiralty MTR Station to Ocean Park. The bus fares is HKD 10.60.

From HK Island, get to IFC Mall and take the escalator down to get to Hong Kong Station, follow the exit for Citygate/Ngong Ping, and you'll exit directly adjacent to MTR Tung Chung Station

Take MTR to Causeway Bay, and exit at "Times Square". Crowded on weekends. A popular departmental store, Lane Crawford, is here. Things are generally high-end, the cheaper shops are in the basement. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different. Located near exit E, Causeway Bay MTR station.
