Lindengate A visit to Lindengate Fair

this significant donation of over £34k from the LEADER fund (LEADER, a rural help fund, could only fund a maximum of 80% of the pathways).

Andrew Hough, Buckinghamshire MCF (Masonic Charitable Fund) representative and Mike Clanfield, Provincial Grand Charity Steward, are pictured (above, right) with members of the Lindengate charity during their visit to the Lindengate fair recently, after the MCF awarded the charity £4000. Lindengate (www.lindengate.org.uk) is a mental health and wellbeing charity in Wendover which offers specialised gardening activities to assist mental wellbeing, boost self-esteem and social inclusion. The charity has received assistance from Buckinghamshire Masons to upgrade the facilities and pathways there. This has enabled wheelchair users and people with limited mobility to use the site and enhanced the infrastructure to make it fit to support the professional, social www.wendovernews.co.uk

“The new pathways are already making a huge difference to our Gardeners (as we call our service users), particularly those with disabilities or those who are elderly or frail. Previously they have been unable to access these areas of the site. The Sensory Garden is one of the areas now accessible and it provides a wonderfully calm space in which our Gardeners can sit and experience the gentle trickle of the water ball and breathe in the variety of fragrant flowers.” Wendover News August 2018
