America’s Veterans: Standing Tall for Freedom

We proudly salute America’s veterans and active-duty military for their drive and dedication, contributions and courage. Their commitment to our country and our freedom has protected us for generations, and we owe them a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. This Veterans Day, please join us in honoring the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who have fought, sacrificed and served their country with pride.

We thank you, veterans and soldiers.

Thank You!

I would like to thank everyone who helped at my benefit from donations to food and the slab run. I couldn’t believe all the family and friends who attended. It was great to see everybody. I’m very blessed to have family and friends like I do. A special thank you to family and friends for all the hard work and organizing the benefit in such a short time. It’s been a journey since last October but I’m still fighting the cancer and won’t give up. Nona (Dylla) Bottke The Family of LaMars Yost would like to thank all of our friends and family for the kind words, cards, visits, memorials, flower arrangements, food, prayers, and support before and after LaMars’ passing. Thank you to the Good Samaritan staff who were so helpful during LaMars’ illness. Their expert care was exceptional and special thanks to the Mayo Clinic Hospice Team. We’d also like to thank Pastor Don Rose for his many visits to our home and the nursing home and for the wonderful celebration of life service. Additionally, thanks to Chris Falteisek for providing the music at the funeral service. We would also like to extend our thanks to the pallbearers. We also thank the BrussHeitner Funeral Home for hosting the visitation and for their assistance and guidance before, during and after the service. We would also like to thank Julie Stevermer for catering the lunch at the church and all the women and men who provided cakes and helped to set up, serve and clean up after the luncheon. Vitamin D & Parkinson's

Parkinson's patients in a study took either vitamin D or a placebo every day for one year. Researchers found that the disease did not progress as much in those who took the supplements compared to those who took the placebo. However, the benefit was only seen in those with a specific type of vitamin D receptor gene. Experts say findings are promising, but it is too soon to recommend supplementation for all Parkinson's patients; more study is needed. Previous studies have linked low blood levels of vitamin D with increased risk of developing Parkinson's disease.
