SilverSneakers Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated yoga poses. PERSONAL TRAINING The WRC is excited to introduce a new Personal Trainer to the Fitness Center, Judy Nusbaum! Judy area of expertise is assisting Senior Citizens with their physical fitness needs. Judy joins seasoned qualified trainers, Debbie Murphy and Cherity Elder to assist the inexperienced and experienced exerciser to reach their fitness goals with new techniques and workouts. We have you covered for all your fitness needs! The Personal Training consists of one-on-one sessions at which members will be introduced to new exercises, instructed in proper technique, and given advice on nutrition. If you need variety in your workout, let our personal trainers kick it up a notch! Sessions usually include a cardiovascular warm-up followed by strength training and ends with stretching. Who would benefit from Personal Training? Everyone! Our trainers can help you gain speed and strength for a specific sport, or help you with goals of weight loss or gain. Whatever your goal is, we will help you achieve it! One-on-One Individual Sessions A minimum of 10 sessions is required. Each session is only $12.50 for a total of $125. Flag football is back for the youth in Wellington! This league provides the perfect alternative for kids too young or not quite ready to play tackle football. There will be two separate divisions of play, a 6-8 year old division and a 9-12 year old division. This is open to BOTH boys and girls. Back by popular demand is the South Central Youth Volleyball League. This is a traveling league that is played on Saturdays. This league helps players develop skills and gives valuable experience before they reach middle school and high school. Don’t miss out! We’re planning a trip to the Graffiti Paintball Fields this fall. Players may used their own equipment, but must buy paintballs at the course, $5 for 500 paintballs. Find your camouflage, tell your friends and get ready to go. Date: Friday, October 25th, (no school) Age: 6th-12th grade Time: 11:00 am-4:00 pm, Bus departs/returns to the WRC Price: $35, includes 500 paintballs, equipment rental & transportation. The NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition creates a lively and engaging forum for boys and girls ages 8-15 to compete against others their age. Boys and girls will compete separately from one another. PPK is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the FUN side of football. All participants must provide a birth certificate and parents must sign a waiver at registration. Get hands on experience while learning the correct and safe way to shoot air rifles. Participants will learn proper handling, care and safety while learning to shoot at pellet traps. Join former Friends University collegiate player Hannah Shuck for this clinic. Classes are limited to the first 6 to sign up in each age group. Participants should arrive 15 minutes early to warm-up and are required to provide their own catcher. Classes are geared toward teaching proper technique and softball pitching fundamentals. Goju-Ryu Karate brings a pathway to internal peace, self discipline, physical fitness, a peaceful way of life and a tradition of respectfully serving others with honor. Kids parties take two hours, around one hour to paint and the rest of the time for cake/food and gifts. This party is geared towards children 2nd grade and older. Group rates for kids parties are $10 per painter.

The WRC is ready to go for another school year of fun for all elementary kids after school! We offer help with homework, concessions for after school snacks, games and more! Supervision is provided! With just a few ingredients and a steady hand, you can elevate your basic sugar cookies into works of (edible) art. Join us in learning how to decorate cookies with royal icing that are perfect for your upcoming Halloween parties and Thanksgiving feasts, and walk away with techniques to carry with you into other seasons. This hands-on class will teach you the basics of piping, and include more advanced work like flooding, dragging, and tufting. All supplies provided. This is a great value!! Participants will be able to take home their decorated cookies and a ‘take home kit’ the following day which includes; pastry tips and bags, flooding sticks, a cookie cutter, recipe cards, and tube bottle. FUSED TRAY SET Recycle your old wine, vinegar or fizzy drink bottles . Bring your empty, clean bottles and we will fuse them flat to create a unique serving tray for cheese, butter or appetizers.
