Social Value Report 2013 -2014

Wellbeing in Action is a Community Interest Company established to improve the wellbeing of those with long term conditions through peer to peer support. The CIC has grown through the work of Salford Heart Care, a Charity which was established in 1987 with the charitable objective to support: “The relief and support of individuals and their carers in their recovery and rehabilitation from cardiovascular disease and other long term conditions.”

ABOUT US

In order to provide a foundation for the development of Wellbeing in Action, the organisation has produced a Social Value Report specifically looking at the peer support model that has been adopted and its success. The report shows that this approach currently has a Social Return on Investment Ratio of 1:4.14. This means that every £1 invested in the programme £4.14 is generated in social economic value. This document highlights some of the headlines of the report.
