Wednesday 11th June, 2014 Term 2, Week 6
Kia ora Parents, Whanau and Caregivers, With the weather being rather inclement we have seen the postponement of the South Cluster Crosscountry held at Waipuna Park. We will see if tomorrow is going to be any better and hopefully our tamariki can show everyone how all of that training is paying off! We also have Tony Pope in on Friday continuing to work on the school mural development on the wall of the Toetoe room behind the thrones. This will depict the environments of the birds and we are all excited to see it take shape.
We have a rapidly growing junior school and as a result have appointed a new teacher to support our littlest people in the school as we build the foundation of the academic life and all that school entails. We would like to warmly welcome Bekky Plane to join the team at Welcome Bay School.
Hi! My name is Rebekka Plane and I have just joined the “Take Flight” team at WBS. I have lived in Mount Maunganui for most of my life. I am married and we have four children ages 15, 12, 10 and five, our home is always filled with fun and laughter, busyness and chaos! To relax I love to run and compete in half marathons. I am excited about joining Welcome Bay School and I am already enjoying getting to know our wonderful New Entrants in Harakeke. I look forward to a fantastic year at Welcome Bay and watching our children soar.
