Telling Jesus’ Story for 25 Years YORK “To God Be the Glory,” a musical presentation of the life of Jesus, is celebrating a quarter century of production. The troupe is gearing up for this year’s installment at St. Christopher’s Church in York. Based fully on the Gospel accounts of the New Testament, “To God Be the Glory” depicts the birth and public ministry of Jesus Christ and enacts a portrayal of his death on the cross. It concludes with a celebration of his Resurrection. The audience is deeply using boomeredgewater@gmail. com address using the “friends and family” option so that no fees are charged to you or us. moved and many in each audience are repeat attendees who come back year after year. “To God Be the Glory” can surely be described as an authentic religious experience. York resident Rita Leroux wrote and produced the show in 1994 and continues as its producer. “I had a heart’s desire to put on a play at St. Christopher’s 25 years ago. It came to pass and has been going strong ever since,” she said. “When my five-year-old granddaughter saw the play for the first time… she was amazed.” “To God Be the Glory”

is performed by an all-amateur group of more than 100 singers, musicians, actors, and supporting volunteers, some of whom come from non-Catholic faith traditions. Director Richard Leroux, who also portrays St. Peter, is one of Rita’s three sons in the show, in addition to Leo as Jesus and Daniel as John the Baptist. “Spring is coming and so is our annual presentation of ‘To God Be the Glory.’ This will be the 25th year of our depiction of the life of Jesus Christ with a talented mix of new and returning cast and singers. We are very excited to put on a great performance in celebration of our 25 years of this

...FREE from page 13 for holding the PMA in such esteem,” said Mark H.C. Bessire, the Judy and Leonard Lauder Director of the Portland Museum of Art. “The Berger Trust held a thorough selection process for this bequest, and in giving these works to the PMA, they are not only recognizing the unbelievable devotion of the PMA Board and staff, but the passion of the Maine community for supporting the arts.”

The Berger gift makes the Portland Museum of Art one of the premier destinations to experience the artworks and legacy of Winslow Homer. In addition to these acquisitions and an extensive collection of Homer works, the PMA owns the Winslow Homer Studio in Prouts Neck, Maine, where Homer lived and worked until his death in 1910, which is a significant part of the museum’s collection and campus.

show,” the director said. After each year’s final performance, the cast goes home until the time for the next year’s performance arrives. Then they simply resume where they left off. Leo Leroux has been Jesus and Pat Rose has been the Virgin Mary since the first show. Likewise, Mike Palumbo has played a Roman soldier each year. He played a major role in securing the technology for safely enacting the Cross scene. His wife Theresa plays the Samaritan woman at the well. Each year there are some newcomers. This year the show has a new musical director in Shawn Gregory, who has spent thirty years in music ministry. He is a co-director of the parish Faith Formation program. Before the Thursday performance, at 5:30 p.m., there will be free pizza donated by Anthony’s Food Shop, Ruby’s Wood Grill, York 54, and York House of Pizza. Sponsored by Parish of the Ascension of the Lord, the show will be performed on March 15 and 16 at 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday, March 18, at 3 p.m. Admission is free, but a donation is welcome.

~ Ask The Computer Lady ~ Dear Computer Lady, I’ve learned so much from your site, its hard to thank you enough. I want to back up/save my business accounts/files without using the internet. I am using the jump drive right now, but I’m thinking that you gave warning about them only opening so many times and then becoming useless? I use Quickbooks for accounting and Windows 7 Home Premium for other documents. Any suggestions for this type of back up? Thanks, Rhonda Dear Rhonda, If your jump drive (or any USB data stick type of device) is the only thing you backup to, you could be at risk of losing your data just when you need it most. Here is what I would suggest. You could buy a USB external hard drive and use that to backup. It is not quite as sensitive to external conditions as the jump drive. If you go with this type of backup, you still want to replace the external hard drive every couple of years just to be safe. When you purchase a second one, you could also alternate backing up to each drive so that you have two copies of your files backed up. If you continue to use the jump drive, I would suggest that you purchase two drives and alternate them. If you backup to one drive this week, and the other drive next week, you

should never be more than a week behind if one of them fails. I would also purchase a new set of jump drives each year since they are limited in the number of times you can read/write to them. Elizabeth Dear Computer Lady, Do I need an antivirus program for my iPad, if so, which do you suggest? Thanks, Jeanne Dear Jeanne, Actually, you don’t need an antivirus program for your iPad as long as your device hasn’t been jailbroken. Jailbreaking is a way of bypassing the restrictions Apple puts on the operating system. It also voids the warranty. Apple designs its devices with security as a top priority. It keeps apps separate from the operating system. In addition, any app that you install on your iPad must be checked by Apple before they can be listed in the App store. If an app contained a virus, it would not make it into the app store. Elizabeth

10. Here is how you would access it: 1. Click on the start menu icon or tap the start menu key on your keyboard. 2. When the start menu opens, don’t click on it, just start typing “Snipping Tool” and it will appear at the top of your start menu. 3. Click on the snipping tool icon, or if it is at the top of the menu, just press the “Enter” key on your keyboard. 4. If you want to keep the snipping tool on your taskbar for easy access, just right click on the Snipping tool icon on your taskbar, and click “Pin To Taskbar” in the context menu.
