KING OF THE GRILL Saturday, June 9, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Rain or Shine! Festival Staff Steve Waudby (left), Joe Winning and Nathan Sharrow are ready to set up for the 41st annual St. Anne’s Festival also know as the World’s finest show on June 6 to 9.
St. Anne’s Festival this weekend Something for everyone at annual event The 41st annual St. Anne’s Festival in the church parking lot between Morrison Drive and Park Avenue in St. Thomas runs this weekend with a huge midway, bake sale and restaurant tent every day. Live entertainment includes Open Mic night Thursday, Radio on Friday and the classic rock band Hog Wild on Saturday, all from 7 – 10 pm.
For special evening dinners, enjoy barbecued half chicken Thursday, yellow lake perch Friday and barbecued steak on Saturday from 5 – 7pm. As well as midway games of chance, people can try their luck at a long-standing St. Anne’s Festival feature called Looney Bingo. There’s also blackjack and wheels night in the Centre on Friday and Festival tickets for sale throughout the event. To prove that there is some-
thing for everyone, volunteers who organize the show have lined up a Crafter’s Marketplace every day, a youth area, face painting, games for kids, two auctions Saturday evening and much more. Admission and parking are free. The event is organized by a committee of St. Anne’s Church, but net proceeds from the Festival go to support a broad range of projects and causes in the community.
