S WE POWER THROUGH week five, ‘The Footy Show’ Insider sat down for an exclusive one on one with ‘The Footy Show’ funnyman Beau Ryan. Now an integral panellist Beau was quick to talk about his excitement in 2013. “This year has been great, we have a whole new look and it is very exciting to be at the new time of 8.30pm,” he said. “I’m very excited to be entertaining a whole new audience.” 2013 sees Beau involved in a number of brand new ventures including ‘I can’t believe Beau Ryan is in my house’ and ‘The Ryan Report’. “Both segments are a work in progress but I am looking forward to working with my good friend Dan Hunt as well as some new guests that you’ll see throughout the year,” he said. “As always I’m looking to entertain
everyone who watches ‘The Footy Show’”. Of course, ‘The Footy Show’ favourite, Beau Knows has been back bigger than ever this year. And Beau was quick to stop me when I suggested that maybe there’s the odd set up or two involved with this segment. “Beau Knows is real and we chat to real people,” he said. “It’s also a chance for fans to see another side of a footballer.” When asked about why western Sydney continues to be a favourite spot for his famous segments Beau responded: “The west is rugby league’s heartland, full of great people who are very passionate footy fans. It’s easy to have a lot of fun out here”. A proud member of ‘The Footy Show’ full-time panel and a noted funnyman,
Beau admits it is not always smooth sailing. “Now and then my antics can get me into trouble, but when it’s time to train, it’s time to be serious and I’m very serious about my footy,” he said. “There’s no harm in a little fun on the side.” ‘The Footy Show’ is back next week at 8.30pm and Beau Ryan is as excited as ever. “I can’t wait for the new timeslot, we’ll have even more fans to entertain each week,” he said.
